I turn the TV on and a christian church was preahing Pumpkins and santa in church.
And, said those that do not do the same are anti christ.

It was so fun to watch,he was so excited about it ,I think he p himself.

everyone. Colossians 4:2-6 NIV Message version, be real please, I don't need more scripture, I need real life talk on how to do both. If you don't know how, you don't need to answer. It is a tricky one I believe if you give a true answer. But I am searching for the truth. Remember jesus at the well with the woman who had 5 husbands etc. ???? I think Jesus :brought out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out, yet He also held her accountable. In order to answer this you probably have to "put your head into the scene "of Jesus with this woman at the well example from the Bible

What about all of the contradictions? I have heard people use this Bible verse as proof that scripture is inspired and therefore inerrant:

All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching,
for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
II Timothy 3: 16-17

Since when can a book cite itself as proof of something within it?

An Englishwoman and her young son were travelling in a taxi in New York. As they were driving through a rather seedy looking part of town, the boy became fascinated by the garishly made up women in short skirts and high heels who seemed to be accosting some of the men passing by.

"Mummy" the boy asked, "what are those ladies doing?"

The mother, clearly embarassed by the question, replied: "I expect they're lost and are asking people for directions"

The taxi driver overhead this and interrupted: "why not tell me boy the truth, those women are prostitutes."

The mother blushed more brightly at this remark but the boy wouldn't let it go:

"What are prostitutes Mummy, are they like other women, do they have children too?"

"Of course" the mother replied, "that's where New York taxi drivers come from."

In John 6:53-54, Jesus says:

"I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day."

Is this statement by Jesus the reason why Christians transform bread and wine into his flesh and blood and then eat and drink it?

I like to get real life, basic words to use today to practice God's commands with, not old fashioned talk. so if you went to town today , to Walmart etc, and you talked like this :
a conversation full of grace, seasoned with salt,.........
please give me some exact words you might say to anyone; cashier, friend you run into, family, stranger, someone standing in line,
tell me something that happened yesterday and tell me how you talked with your conversation full of grace, seasoned with salt, For jesus lovers, I think you can wade thru this confusion I hope :) and help me OK ? always trying to do His will :)

Look at the past. The most striking example occurred during WW2 when the Nazis (atheists) tortured and murdered more than 6 million people. Most of them devout Jews. God could not even find any love for any of them, not even an innocent child. What better opportunity for him to show himself.

Why should he love you? Give me a reason.

You want more examples of how god does not love anybody?

I don't want to hear "God works in strange ways" say something intellectual.

I know in the Bible that it says we achieve salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. But what about people who have never heard of Jesus? Or people who have different beliefs? It doesn't seem fair that their is only one path to salvation. And if it is true, why would God seemingly set up so many distractions and temptations? As well, how can we be expected to believe with no proof? The desciples had Jesus to convince them. It even took multiple tries (example: peter's denial). How can we be expected to believe just be reading a book that a couple thousand years old?
