Well I was getting sick of it all, until I went to our local 14th century church today, to watch my 3 small grandchildren in their nativity play. My eyes were full of tears, and the true spirit of Christmas came flooding back. The weather in England is frosty, and cold, and as we drove home from the church, through the beautiful Cornish countryside, a few flurries of snow fell over the hills. I then sat in front of a roaring log fire, with a glass of mulled wine, and thought, "yep" I can cope with another 9 days, and it will all be over!!!

If you signed a contract then you should have received a copy of the contract for your own records. It is unreasonable to claim you have breached the contract if you don't know what it says. Tell the boss that if he gives you a copy of your signed contract, it must be the one YOU signed, with your signature on it and not just any old one he likes then you will continue to work to the terms of the contract and to the period of notice stated in the contract. Being faced with that he will most likely back down.

We are counting the days down to when we can say.."that's it for another year, thank goodness". Just think, Easter eggs'll be in the shops before Valentines cards go up on sale and we'll be smelling hot cross buns in Tesco not long after the mince pies have all gone!

Yes, sitting here in my worn out tattered bath robe, drinking Jack Daniels, smoking cheap on sale cigarettes, listening to the wife hum stupid Christmas songs as she burns batch after batch of rum soaked ginger bread men, all the while banging on this keyboard answering questions on Yahoo because I'm too damn lazy to decorate the house.
HumBug, but it's my kind of day.

How sad that someone would be sick of the holidays. I don't know what else to say, except, how sad! Please, if you are sick of the holidays, talk with someone, figure out how to make the holidays a happy, relaxing time for you. Don't resort to alcohol, and don't take your anger out on anyone else either.
