Oppression and denial of free speech is not something that I approve of, nor will I engage in it.
I will only thumbs-down something that contains factual errors or ad-hominem attacks in a discussion of an idea.
What's more, I trust that most people will see ridiculous answers as ridiculous, and a thumbs down doesn't do anything except remove it from the individual's screen.
Better to let them look like a fool and for us to look more tolerant (because, quite frankly, we usually are).

Wow, you give atheists a bad name. I think YA runs on individuals' opinions, not wars among groups.
I'm a Christian, but sometimes I even thumb down the answers from other Christians. And "thumbs down" doesn't always mean the answers are bad, it's simply a show of disagreement.

For whatever reason, my thumbs down is bugged. I can down vote, but it won't save, so if I refresh the page, it resets to what it was before I voted. I guess I been "cursed" somehow.

I too believe that we non-theists should promote and support stupid fundy answers. The more outrageous, illogical, irrational and unsupported the better.

While I LIKE...the idea...that seems like an incredible pain in the ***. So if it weren't so much work to be as "present" (annoying) as them, I would. Instead I'm showing my presence by asking questions. :)

The whole rating system is stupid. Everybody's opinion should get an equal chance. So no I won't vote thumbs down on anybody's comment unless it's spam, no matter how stupid it seems to me.

If you really want to make them mad just ask all non christians to help. But then you would be asking RELIGION to help you! Think about it.
