I apologize if this confuses you, please pray for an answer or pass on, I don't need ridicule thanks . I can say my Jesus heart is really searching here on how I can be a better Jesus lover in real life.
The goal is to bring out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out.
everyone. Colossians 4:2-6 NIV Message version, be real please, I don't need more scripture, I need real life talk on how to do both. If you don't know how, you don't need to answer. It is a tricky one I believe if you give a true answer. But I am searching for the truth. Remember jesus at the well with the woman who had 5 husbands etc. ???? I think Jesus :brought out the best in others in a conversation, not put them down, not cut them out, yet He also held her accountable. In order to answer this you probably have to "put your head into the scene "of Jesus with this woman at the well example from the Bible

Knowing the "Heart of the Lord, and the mind of the Spirit.." Does help...being in "tune" (walking in the Spirit) Rom;8..is a great benefit...especially when dealing with others..knowing that the Church of Jesus, does not belong to "You" but to Him, and, His awareness of what you do in it, and with it, does affect what "He" is trying to do...(You do not want to "bump heads!") Your "out-look" towards the Church will somewhat change..and them\n, it will be.."Thy Will" and not my will that can be done...."Peace!" :) (hope this helps)

God gives people different gifts, and one of those is exhortation. The word means to "come along side of" someone. You can be a leader and go ahead of people, or a servant and kind of push people ahead of you, but an exhorter is one who works with a person, not as superior or under them but as a peer to work with them to accomplish spiritual steps in their life. You may stand accountable to each other, but you work together for the good of both of you. I have a twin sister who is a wonderful exhorter and people are always coming to her to be encouraged in what they are doing. It is a wonderful gift.

Just how did Jesus hold the woman at the well accountable? By asking her about it? By showing that he know everything about her and still talks to her? What do you mean by accountable? Maybe Jesus is not holding anyone accountable and neither should we hold them accountable?

As human beings we will always fall short. Try to follow the teachings of Christ. With His counsel. If you are pure in heart you exhort Him.
