I mean no offense here, but as far as I can see, only some of them still survive til now (being used widely, both formal & informal), some of them are "saree" for Indians & "baju kurung" for Malays. What happen to "kimono" for Japanese?, "gowns" for Western?

Hornless unicorns, or "horses" are large four-legged mammals used by humans for racing, riding, and making glue. Prominent creation scientist Em Adjineri (say it aloud) has been studying the lineage of horses, and has discovered that they must have been intelligently designed.

According to Em Adjineri science, horses are just hornless unicorns. However, this means that if evolution is true, horses evolved from unicorns. Therefore, there must be a transitional fossil of a horse with only half a horn.

No such transitional fossils have been found. In fact, no unicorn fossils have been found that date to after the period of the global flood. Therefore, God must have killed all the unicorns during the flood, and secretly stuck horses on the ark when Moses was looking the other way. (God's sneaky like that).

Therefore, God intelligently designed horses. Since intelligent design is just creationism in disguise, this means that creationism is true and evolution is false.

Christmas appears to be the most significant holiday to Christians. Is the holiday mandated anywhere in Christian scriptures or in the doctrine of the Church? If so where?

O Lord, please don't burn us.
Don't grill or toast Your flock.
Don't put us on the barbecue
Or simmer us in stock.
Don't braise or bake or boil us
Or stir-fry us in a wok.
Oh, please don't lightly poach us
Or baste us with hot fat.
Don't fricassee or roast us
Or boil us in a vat,
And please don't stick Thy servants, Lord,
In a Rotissomat.

My Sister-in-law started chemo therapy yesterday. She has some areas that are in the second stage and a few that are in the third stage. Please include my brother who is trying to be as strong as he can for his wife.
I thank all of you who will take a moment to pray for them and believing our Lord hears everyone of them.
God bless each and every one of you.

I work for a pediatric hospital in a division of sub-specialty doctors. You would think they would have enough money to buy whatever they may need. One of our most "respected" doctors always takes food that does not belong to her. Leftovers in the fridge, someone elses unopened drink, whatever. However, this morning was the topper. A girl on our administrative staff brought in 2 tins of butter cookies for everyone to share. Around 8:00 she went back to get a cookie and noticed one of the tins were gone. There were only about 4 people in the office at this point, not enough time for them to be gone. When we started looking, we looked in this particular doctors office and found the tin of cookies hiding behind her briefcase. What would you do? We have tried posting notes around saying not to take other peoples food or food meant for everyone and have even sent out emails.

In my opinion religions that expect their followers to have faith or to just depend of scriptural reassurance
about God will eventually lose their grip on their followers (Example- "Post Christian" Europe) or result in
fanaticism (as exhibited by the followers of Islam and Christians in America).Once a degree of critical thinking
gets established , religion starts losing its grip on the followers. Which explaing why critical thinking is being
resisted in countries like Iran,Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

The only religion that will ever survive is one that offers direct perception of God, one that offers proof of God,else
mankind will have to move beyond religion.

Stabbed to death for...being a scientist. Best part? The guy was only given a 5 year sentence (eligible to get out in 3) because he was "of good character".

Thanks Aussies, you've shown us it's not a serious crime to stab an "evolutionist" if you're drunk but "of good character".

So, should we rethink our stance on R&S?

I think that girls don't fart due to evolutionary reasons.

In the caveman days there were 2 types of girls - farting and non-farting.

But the farting ones turned men off too much, so they never reproduced. So their farting DNA was not passed on.

The non-farting ones did attract men, reproduced, so passed on their non-farting DNA.

It's survival of the fittest/non-fartiest.

Due to an ending friendship with one of the employees in my office, it has turned most of them against me. This mostly has to due with the fact that younger ladies, girls, seem to love to pretend they're still in high school and form cliques and start rumors and such. I really only have three main friends within our Firm and only one of them is attending. How bad does it look if I do not attend. And how many of you suggest that I should attend? The party is tonight after work so please let me know what you think.

As far as things I've read or seen from others, it seems as though I will go through this the rest of my life with most, if not all women, it's not just younger females in their twenties. That's really sad.

A friend of a friend recently bought a ten pointed star pendant and was told it was a religious symbol but the salesperson did not know what exactly it symbolized or represented. The FoF bought it because it looked nice. After some research, me and my friends have found nothing. We found nine pointed stars and eleven, but nothing on the ten point.

Does anyone know what the ten pointed star symbolizes in Religion and/or Spirituality?

Thanks!

when the bible publishers were putting the bible together some 300 years after Christs death it was documented that they fought for months over which creation story to use. They had 4 choices , two like Adam and Eve and two completly different . after a long battle they finally decided on the one you see now in the bible opening. This is proof positive that the story cant be true , they could have chosen a differnt story and people would be believing somthing different. and thats just 1 example of how the publishers handled the bible
