You gotta face the facts: its prophet was here just a few decades ago... I can't say I have read anything personnaly prepared by Mohammed or John.

There are 500 chests of diamonds and rubies buried beneath the Sahara Desert. Someday, date not yet determined, an alien will arrive and show the chosen 500 where each chest is located.

Ridiculous? yes. No evidence that it is true? Right!
Can you prove it is wrong? Nope!

The moral of the story is this: Inability to prove that something is false is never proof that it is true.

If you are really all about facing facts, you might want to take a good long look at the life and practices of your "prophet".

I havent really seen any disproof.
Im an ex-sceintologist and dont really see a problem with most of it. The course material has great reviews from people who have done it. The part that are incorporated into literacy programs, the Narconon program, the Criminon program, and the W.I.S.E. program (using it in corporate environments) all have rave reviews.

If you mean the religious side of it there isnt anything to prove or disprove. People post things as being "secrets known oly to top members" and Scientology denies all of that so there isnt anything there since both sides deny any of it is real fact.

Well if we are using "newness" as a factor to gauge credibility than I guess IPU or FSM have to be considered as well. Personally if I was going to join a cult made up by a sci-fi writer I would have picked a better writer. Anyone want to start worshipping Spider Robinson? I have a few spare hours this afternoon to think up a religion...

This link should quite easily do the trick, and it is not coming from any other religion's standpoint, only logic and common sense. And I believe it, because it was hand prepared by a guy in the last few decades named Jeff....sounds like just as good of a reason as yours, can't argue with me there.

The entire ridiculous cult is based upon some notes found after Hubbard died, that were mistakenly or more likely deliberately turned into the basis for the 'religion. They were simply notes for a new book he was working on.

Is that it? Your "proof" is someone who called himself a prophet was here a few decades ago? You have to do better than that if you want to be taken seriously.

I would just like to say to Slinkywizzard that yours was the perfect answer. That's exactly what I think of when this question pops up. Be it about scientology or God or Jesus or who/whatever. You just said it better than I would have. If I had originated this question yours would be the best answer!!! I know....I made your day.....your welcome!

Disprove it? I don't have to. L. Ron Hubbard's "tech" is already the laughing stock of the entire medical/psychological community.

Nobody has to "disprove" anything. If scientology is making certain claims, then scientologists need to support their claims or STFU.

It's up to them to prove their claims .Anyone can make any kind of foolish claim , then say , if you if you can't prove me wrong , you must accept it . It's the originator who has to do the proving .
