In my opinion religions that expect their followers to have faith or to just depend of scriptural reassurance
about God will eventually lose their grip on their followers (Example- "Post Christian" Europe) or result in
fanaticism (as exhibited by the followers of Islam and Christians in America).Once a degree of critical thinking
gets established , religion starts losing its grip on the followers. Which explaing why critical thinking is being
resisted in countries like Iran,Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.

The only religion that will ever survive is one that offers direct perception of God, one that offers proof of God,else
mankind will have to move beyond religion.

perception of God is beyond the relegious faith. God is not a name of faith. it's neither concept nor a perception. it's a reality which can be undestood with our available sense organs. if u want to know the avaibality of God u should think about urself. everything has an origin, we and our universe both. when we think about activities, quickly we can get the reason behind all activities, but we can not ensure the results with guarantee.sometimes results are against our expectations, this is because we cant have a rule to get an exact result. it feels that someone is watching us , fixing the rules and guiding all activities.
Reading a relegious book streghthens our faith in God , but not making God physically to stand before us. it's not possible to see the God, to hear his voice, to smell him and to taste him.but it's quite possible to watch his activities. all objects big or small follow a definite rule in this universe. not following the rules ensures non-existance of the object. rule of nature is not a time dependent parameter. all the particles are programmed for their activities since the begining of universe. it's a surprise for thinker that the rule which had been fixed billions years ago is still right now as it was. there is no error in mentainance. an unguided project dont move smoothly due to alteration in rules, but we know that whole universe is fuctioning exactly on predecided pattern. so, if we go inside all happenings , we can get a clear idea of a guide......who is he...... God! ( but it's not easy to go deep inside all happenings)

I'd agree, as Laura J pointed out in a question of mine (linked below), religion assists those in power with gaining or maintaining that power, particularly taking advantage of those who aren't critical thinkers.

no religion will ever prove the existence of God as someone will always disprove the theory with science, religion has been a cause of violence in the past and will continue to cause it in the future
