who do the most procreating, is a hindrance to our advancement as a race?

wouldn't we be better off if successful, proven individuals were having more children then the lazy ( not generalizing)

it's like were mass producing bad genes for the human race and only making a few good ones in comparison.

what ...survival of the fittest, not quiet.

you see my point maybe?

"Abashed the devil stood and saw how awful goodness is."- Satan

I bet he saw God doing the opposite of what he preached.

You know, Pope John Paul II attended the Jagiellonian University in Kraków, and was an athlete, actor and playwright. He learned over 15 languages during his lifetime, including Latin, Ukrainian, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, English other than his native Polish. He was a scholar in Theology, History, Philosophy and the arts. He was also the author of many books, encyclicals and other pastoral documents and papers. Does he sound dumb to you?

Now, I don't quite match that resume, but I did attend state college, and as I write this, I am earning $26 an hour at a Pharmeseutical Company which I won't name at this time.

So, can someone tell me why some Yahoo trolls, who often can't even spell correctly, have the audacity to say the Christians are somehow uneducated or backwards?

I'll start off: my JW sis in law was "reported" by one of her fellow JWs one year for "having a Christmas tree." It turned out she'd decorated a ficus tree with white lights to be trendy, not for a Christmas tree. big Elders meeting about it, though. I didn't see any decorated ficus trees in her house after that.

I have my great grandmothers, my grandmothers, my mothers and my bible. I love to read and have read them all at least once. Each one is different and the words completely change the meaning of the phrase. Which one is correct. I have a dictionary from each time period as well and the new dictionary and a Christian dictionary no matter how I cross reference the bibles each changes the actual meaning of the bible's word. The bible is Gods word and should not have changed but it did and has so which one is correct. It makes the bible different the meaning different and how to live my life different. I asked my pastor and he said it just makes it easier to read but I also asked him about the meanings changing and he couldn't answer me but went on about Gods Love and how Gods laws are timeless but he didn't say which one, I gave up. Also after 1979-1980 the bible is totally different from the other ones.

Does anyone here speak in tongues? If so, have you ever felt pressured to be moved by the spirit and "faked it"?

I've been reading a bunch of ex-Pentecostals on another forum and they are admitting to resorting to "Yabba dabba doo" and whateber that peewee herman phrase was (meeka leeka hidey ho or something) as children to make people think they were moved by the spirit. One person (the one who used the peewee herman thing) said that she was locked in a room all the girls from the church and told to invite the spirit in and try to speak in tongs. The person who locked them in said that if they weren't meved by the spirit now, they probably never would be so they would probably go to hell.

Another poster spoke of a woman who would give a 5-minute "lalalalalalalalala" every 2 weeks. (He suggested that maybe "la" meant badger in some ancient language and she was actually saying badgerbadgerbadger, which cracked me up, but that's not the pt.

Have you experienced anything similar?

I haven't heard anyone discuss this yet. But if anyone wanted to end his run for candidacy, all they have to do is ask him whether he wears the Mormon magic underwear or not.

I imagine he would decline to answer. But if he did so, of course, he would be admitting that he does.

Even the Christians would call him crazy if they found out about that, though.

But seriously, has this been mentioned anywhere?

Many people feel man was made in god's image. If that is so then god too can think and feel. Why would someone who is supposed to be full of love and compassion not interveine? Think of all the war, famine, and disease in the world. Why would a sentient god abandon his people? Especially those that pray for a better life everyday and never get it.

stated that "Love Thy Neighbor" is the most important Commandment and, if one does not follow this rule, all others are negated?

If this is true, it would be wrong for political factions to degrade each other. Wars would be wrong. Any violence against other people would be wrong.

People should not kill each other, but love each other. Self defense might be excused, although the Scripture does not say this.

How can Republicans, who claim they follow the Bible literally, ignore this important reply that Jesus gave when he was asked what was most important? How can they spend their days bashing Hillary, listening to Rush Limbaugh, scorning all Liberals, priding themselves on their religion when they do not follow the most important Commandment?

Could it be that Abu bin Adhem was right, that Jesus would select the one most holy and faithful to the Lord the one who loves, respects and cares for others?
