God is not offended by questions. God is not offended by ignorance. Look what the Lord told Jonah, (Jonah 4:11) And should not I spare Nineveh that great city, wherein are more than six-score thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left; and also much cattle? I love that passage for their is the mean God of the old testament. What God is telling Jonah, who is of Israel and talks to God and hates his captures. How can God destroy these people that have know knowledge. But for those that had knowledge the Lord has allways delt with.

Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Act 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures,

Act 18:4 And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

Act 24:25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

Act 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

There might be more, but I think these will answer your question for you. How come nobody ever showed you these verses?

A misconception people have in dealing with life's troubles is that it's wrong to ask why, that a Christian simply accepts and never questions. Abraham, Moses and David all interceded and struggled to understand God. But the lives of these men model for us a total reliance on God, even in the midst of questioning.

It's not a sin to doubt. Disbelief is sin, but questioning-sincerely seeking-is acceptable to God, because in the presence of God you may ask any question you want.

God never turns his back on those who ask honest questions. He never did in the Old Testament; He never did in the New Testament. So if you are asking honest questions of God, he will never turn away from you.

Perhaps the reason that God doesn't always give us the answer to the whys of our existence is that he knows we haven't got the capacity to understand the answer. In learning to depend on God, we must accept that we may not know all the answers, but we know who knows the answer.

Exactly. I am Christian, and I will question God and Christianity as much as I want to. He gave us a brain to think, ask questions, research and learn. The only people I know who don't question are those who search for God with blind faith. These people take everything for granted and put too much trust in the hearts of men. I don't trust all churches and all men. So, I research my beliefs.

Offense requires perception of action - you need before - action - after to register offense.

if God exists throughout time and knows everything about the future and the past - he is incapable of offense because he was either always offended or never offended since the beginning of time. At the point of creation, he created all of time and everything else past, present and future. Seeing as he created everything - would he create something that offends him? No.

As far as we are concerned - it doesn't matter what we do because God's state of mind can't change over time. He exists outside of time and thus has no time in which to witness events that can offend.

If you believe the omniscient (all knowing) and timeless God postulation you must also accept that he is completely useless to us and can be completely ignored as a quirk of logic.

Why would Jehovah God be offended by people asking questions about him? It's quite the opposite... he invites us to get to know him.

In fact the Bible recommends that you get to know Jehovah closely. Jesus said: "This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." You are also encouraged to develop godly qualities, particularly love, and to make it your personal goal to live under God's incoming Messianic Kingdom. John 17:3; Ecclesiastes 12:13.

The Old Testament God might send a couple of she-bears after you, but the New Testament God would give you a big hug.

No God isn't offended. As a matter of fact,He wants us to test every spirit. However he is offended at our mocking Him.

You are not a stupid person you know the difference between a question and an insult.. Christians have intelligence as well. I would hope the Crap that sometimes bubbles to the surface here is ignored while real questions and channelizes are meet.. IHS Jim
