stated that "Love Thy Neighbor" is the most important Commandment and, if one does not follow this rule, all others are negated?
If this is true, it would be wrong for political factions to degrade each other. Wars would be wrong. Any violence against other people would be wrong.
People should not kill each other, but love each other. Self defense might be excused, although the Scripture does not say this.
How can Republicans, who claim they follow the Bible literally, ignore this important reply that Jesus gave when he was asked what was most important? How can they spend their days bashing Hillary, listening to Rush Limbaugh, scorning all Liberals, priding themselves on their religion when they do not follow the most important Commandment?
Could it be that Abu bin Adhem was right, that Jesus would select the one most holy and faithful to the Lord the one who loves, respects and cares for others?

The commandments are listed in order of what God felt was most important. Love God with all your mind, heart, and soul was first and love your neighbor was second. It does however say that if the these are not followed then all others are negated.

There is no where in scripture that it says that war is wrong- actually the Bible speaks of many wars- self defense- don't you think some wars are done for that purpose? I do not necessarily bash Hillary- however I cannot vote for someone that believes the things she believes- why do you bash republicans- you just did. Standing for truth does not negate love at all- It says that the one way to have evil win is that good men do nothing- so if love leads us to be apathetic about truth then it really is not love at all- I agree though that we must love our neighbor- remember Jesus- He loved everyone- however He always spoke the truth- look up passages about how Jesus related to the Pharisees

First, if you actually read what Jesus said, loving your neighbor was the SECOND commandment that he gave, There is a higher commandment then that - the commandment to love God. If you are not doing that, you will not know his will and be unable to love your neighbor.
But you also make a mistake in that you are trying to take a commandment that Jesus gave to individuals and apply it to an institution. They are not the same thing. The rules under which they operate are different. Paul, in Romans 13, writes about how God set up governments to bear the sword in order to protect and to punish wrongdoers. Even Jesus told his disciples that there would be times when they would need a weapon, and that if they did not have one to sell their coat if needed to get one.
As an individual, I will do my best to show the love of God to everyone I can. I financial support a large ministry that aid in feeding and clothing those displaced by the fighting the Middle East.
But what I do as an individual is not that same as what America, or any nation, may have to do as a country.

You are lumping all Republicans into one catagory, just as some of them lump all the Democrats into another catagory. Also, the first most important commandement Jesus gaveus was to love God with all your heart, mind and soul, and then the next most important, love your neighbor as youself. If we do these two things the bible says that all the law is fullfilled. I wish everyone would stop stereotyping everyone. You sound just as defensive as everyone else. Don't put people in a box!! God Bless, just love people and try to do what's right.

"me, too" ..thats you asking the question.. Jesus did not state that was the most important commandment. He said "Mar 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment.
Mar 12:31 And the second [is] like, [namely] this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. " If you are going to say what is in scripture..please say what is actualy in scripture. Thank you.
I do not know a single republican or democrat or muslim that claims they follow the bible.
Abou bin Adhem wrote a poem about being visited by an angel who was writing in the book .. and the angel told him he was writing the names of those who love the Lord in the book... he asked the angel if his own name was being written into the book and the angel replied no... but Abou asked if it were possible to write his name down as one who loves his fellow men ... and the angel wrote something but what is not mentioned. .. Abou is not speaking for Jesus in the poem ..and you should not imply that he should or is. In the poem Abou does not state that he knew the angel was writing his name in the book..only that the angel wrote something down. We do not even know which book Abou was dreaming of. You know ...this is a poem attributed to Abou, "me, too". Not a hadith or in the Qur'an. Seems more like wishful and hopeful thinking.

Actually no the most important commandment is
"Shema Israel, Yahweh Elohenu, Yahweh Echad"
You shall love the Lord your God with all Your heart with all your soul with all your mind and with all your strength. According to Yahshua in Mark 12
The second is love your neighbor as yourself and is always trumped by the first.
I never bash Hillary but to tell the truth about her policies and that they would be destructive to our country is not bashing but love of neighbor because obviously some of my neighbors have bought the "We are from the Government and we are here to help you" line they learned in the public school system as truth.
I'd like to know why listening to conservative radio is showing hate toward anyone. Its sounds to me like you have a hate in your heart of the truth and anyone who tells the truth.
Again you obviously do not know your bible so your obviously a plant to point a condemning finger at "Christians" and yet by your own hate speech show yourself to be an ignorant hypocrite. Doctor heal thyself.
Remember that Yahshua also said "Get the beam out of your own eye before you try and remove the speck in your brothers eye" Yeesh.

If the religions practiced that one rule, the world would be a better place but religions would loose their power and control. They must exist on differences instead of the common thread. It is not God that made religions. The only thing that Jesus was concerned about was love and treating people like you want to be treated. My favorite song/prayer is "God is love and he who abides in love abides in God and God in him." Nothing in that talks about practicing a certain religion. The thing that he was most upset with the Jewish religion was that they were much more worried about laws and money than they were about deeds. I would like to write a book one day titled "You did what in my name?",

Wow...first actual question that isn't filled with stupidity...
You are quite correct in you assumptions...but then we're human...prone to allow our human nature to over ride our logical brains when confronted...

Where in the bible does it say that Jesus said that? Not saying I don't believe you, I just want to read it for myself. Republicans don't want Hillary because we think she's a threat and isn't fit to be a president. This doesn't mean we don't love her, I don't hate her, I just think she's all lost.

Love fulfills the law, as contrasted to keeping it.
I find it interesting that you bash republicans for their actions, but you are silent regarding the democrats.
When I listen to them, all I hear are accusations. Who in Scripture is described doing this?
You can't expose the sins of one and neglect the sins of the other.
