If every one would keep their believes to themselves (between their creator and themselves) would this be a more tolerant world today?
what would it take for religious PPL to understand that religious collectiveness is achieving the opposite(hate and bloodshed) of what they preach????

I just thought I'd get all the atheists' attention real quick. :)

(For those of you that don't know me... yes, I know why we atheists are here.)

But obviously a LOT of "believers" can't fathom this, seeing as how this question is asked dozens of times each day.

Wouldn't you agree that if so many "believers" are so completely unfamiliar with atheists and our reasons for being upset with religion, then we have a RESPONSIBILITY to ourselves and our peers to be more proactive in getting the word out?

It seems to me that the majority of people that hate non-believers do so simply because they know nothing about us other than what the church has told them.

And let's face it, the church tells them we are hateful, wicked people, that are possibly possessed by demons.

We need to remedy that quickly, if you ask me...

Like, what created people if there is no God? I don't understand that at all. But I'm a Christian so I'm "not allowed to say anything bad" so I can't diss you but I'm just curious. Did two big rocks hit and from people and the Earth, lol. No offense, just wondering.

The earth is 13 000 years old, why don´t you start studying the calendar of the Bible set forth in Genesis 5 , Genesis 11 and so forth.

The Gospel is not centralized in law only. But also in the timing.

Ecclesiastes 8:5-6, teaches us that the wise man discerneth both time and judgement.

...........supposedly promotes atheism eg. Golden Compass.

Why the the double standard ?

Is it fair that a certain group feels that only they and they alone have the right to promote their beliefs.......

.........and if an attempt is made to air an opposing belief it should be banned.

What direction are we heading in with such thinking and reaction ?

Frightening really.

For the record I quite enjoyed Narnia and am also looking forward to seeing Golden Compass.

And why should I pay for the sins I never committed?

Didn't God's flood cleanse evil from the world? Was Jesus' birth and sacrifice another waste of time, since sin prevails still?

Do you really mean that by merely being born we all are sinners? Some fine "blessing" life is then.....

A lot of young children seem to stop believe in Santa Clause at such a young age every holiday season. What do you think causes a child to stop in believing in Santa Clause? Do you think it's because a child asks for something special one year and they don't get what they ask for?

Could it be that people in general don't have as much Christmas spirit, as in the past?

Florida public schools, that is. The state board of education is considering upping the standards for science education, focusing more strictly on evolution in biology classrooms.

The school board has mixed feelings, but the majority of the general population is opposed (obviously), advocating the teaching of intelligent design (which the article says will probably never happen).

Ok first god created man. right. well I would like to know who created god? I mean if he created man then who created him?
Second is he really real or a fake? An if he is real then how come we don't see him in person only in pictures and people say that they could feel him yet feel isn't the same thing as seeing someone.right. So these are my questions. I would appreciate it if you answer my questions. An all who do answer thank you.

Cami is my best friend ever. I want to have a housewarming party but I requested NO GIFTS. I'm an older woman and I have everything I need. I would just have more "stuff" that I don't know what to do with. I only have a senior apartment with no storage. Cami says she won't come if she can't bring something. I need her there. It wouldn't be special without her. How can I get her to come without a gift? If she brought something, everybody that DIDN'T bring one would feel bad because I told them they would be sent back to the car without any supper if they had a gift in their hand... What 2 dooo?

I've been getting help in Biology class and my tutor is a really awsome guy! Because of him, I got an A and I'm exempt from taking my Biology final. What would be a great, but inexpensive, gift I could get the guy? He's about 25-30 years old if that helps things.

Given the fairly recent Joint Declaration on the Doctrine of Justification (1999), where Catholics now state they agree with the basic core of what Luther proclaimed:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_Declaration_on_the_Doctrine_of_Justification

http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontifical_councils/chrstuni/documents/rc_pc_chrstuni_doc_31101999_cath-luth-joint-declaration_en.html

Do you (as a Catholic or as a Protestant) believe that if Martin Luther were alive today, and teaching the same exact thing he taught then...would he be excommunicated by the Roman Catholic Church?

Why or why not?

And if not...

And if the Catholic Church was the same then as it is today...would this have saved the body of Christ from being fragmented into all the denominations?

Is pregnancy so insignificant because some vlaue the sex act as having more merit than the life that might be created?

People love there spouse but most always love there children with more depth and commitment and put up with alot from children that they might never put up from in a spouse
