Asatru does not have that sort of astrological birth sign system. HOWEVER...what is used...is the association of a person's date and time of birth as each of those correspionds to a particular rune. Here is the list of runes and their date/time correspondences:
Fehu - June 29 - July 14 12:30 pm to 13:30 pm
Uruz - July 14 - 29 13:30 pm - 14:30 pm
Thurisaz - July 29 - August 14 14:30 pm - 15:30 pm
Ansuz - August 14 - 29 15:30 pm - 16:30 pm
Raidho - August 29 - September 13 16:30 - 17:30
Kenaz - September 13-28 17:30 - 18:30
Gebo - September 28 - October 13 18:30 - 19:30
Wunjo - October 13-38 19:30 - 20:30
Hagalaz - October 28 - November 13 20:30 - 21:30
Nauthiz - November 13-28 21:30 -22:30
Isa - November 28 - December 13 22:30 - 23:30
Jera - December 13 - 28 23:30 - 00:30
Eihwaz - December 28 - January 13 00:30 - 1:30
Perthro - January 13-28 1:30 - 2:30
Elahz - January 28 - February 12 2:30 - 3:30
Sowilo - February 12 - 27 3:30 - 4:30
Tiwaz- February 27 - March 14 - 4:30 - 5:30
Berkano - March 14 - 30 5:50 - 6:30
Ehwaz - March 30- -April 14 6:30 - 7:30
Mannaz - April 14 - 29 7:30 - 8:30
Laguz - April 29 - May 14 8:30 - 9:30
Ingwaz - May 14 - 28 9:30 - 10:30
Othila - May 28 - June 14 10:30 - 11:30
Dagaz - June 14 - 29 11:30 - 12:30 pm
From there it is a matter of understanding which runes correspond to those dates and times and how their energies and interactions effect each other and the person in quesition.
In my case the two runes that are interacting on me are Tiwaz and Ehwaz.

there isn't anything like a asatru birth sign, if there is someone claiming that it is probably something created in the last years by some new agers. in other words, it has nothing to do with traditional asatru.

Huh, despite being a Heathen this is something that I hear for the first time now. I didn't know we had our own birth signs, hehe!
I'll star this question, hopefully some of my Heathen and Asatru contacts will know more than me.

I don't know my Asatru birth sign (haven't heard of Asatru astrology, do you have a link for reference?), but I'm an Aquarius according to western astrology, and according to Chinese astrology I'm a wood ox.
I know very well what Asatru is, I just don't know anything about Norse birthsigns. :/

Astrological birth signs don't have anything to do with Asatru. I'd ask anybody who claims otherwise to cite their source.

We are not New Age, crystal carrying, tree hugging star gazing pagans. You're addressing the wrong group.
I'm with Mike. Astrological sign have nothing to do with Asatru. Cite your source or shut up.
The Boar is the symbol of Freyr, not a freaking month.

Birth signs are a little more complicated for us. It's not just a month and a day. It takes an understanding of runics and the 5 runic wheels that govern time and space. Then there are the gods and goddess that rule that time frame. The easy answer is find the true runic month-not the gregorian-and find the god or goddess that rules it. Sometimes its not an animal but a physical place of power. We aren't like the roman zodiac.

I didn't know the Norse had their own names for the moon months but it's natural that they would have. I did know the Celts (the Irish) had their own names for them (I happen to be a Hazel tree and a Sturgeon -- drat, not an Otter..... but the Sturgeon is a very good month)
If anyone could clear this up, I would also be very grateful. This is rather fascinating!!
Month Names
Oct. 14th - Nov. 13th - Winter Finding (1st winter month)
Nov. 14th - Dec. 13th - Frost Moon
Dec. 14th - Jan. 13th - Jól
Jan. 14th - Feb. 13th - Thorri
Feb. 14th - March 13th - Barren Moon
March 14th - April 13th - Single Moon
April 14th - May 13th - Summer Finding (1st summer month)
May 14th - June 13th - Eggtide
June 14th - July 13th - Midsummer
July 14th - August 13th - Haymaking
August 14th - Sept. 13th - Double Moon
Sept. 14th - Oct. 13th - Harvest Moon
I did find this off of the site Northvegr (www.northvegr.org/date) but you'll have to go to it and read it for yourself. I'm already there soaking up some very interesting information.....Remember *you're* looking for Asatru and the Norse themselves, while warriors were primarily farmers and sailors. Before you get your dander up, I've been making a study of this for over 25 years and have researched over 2 dozen futharks.
Research is goooood.
