they're not interested to hear anything and they dont want to be apart of any religion, so what is the sense of coming in the religious and spiritual category?

The drinking is what participants do when they read a question that is posted over and over again by newbies.
The primary reason atheists are on R&S is to keep theists honest. Many of the questions in this section are not so much queries for information as gushing about the coolness of this or that doctrine. Rather than report the asker for violating the TOS, they challenge the underlying assumptions of the "question". Sure, there are snipers (theist snipers too!), because it's a public site and some people aren't interested in seriously arguing. But sincere atheists are simply pointing out the flaws in some theist assertions. Without honest debate, R&S would quickly turn into a cheerleading concession with no serious discussion of any issues.
If atheists could somehow be "banned" from R&S, the question would be who's next? Are there "improper" religions? Hinduism? Wicca? Islam? Jehovah's Winesses? Where DOES one draw the line and how does one justify it?

Didn't you just ask a question to atheists? The fact is no one here is talking about theology not even theists. And there are so many questions directed at atheists one might think the category was "ask an atheist".
And a good portion of the theists are talking science & philosophy when not talking about atheists.
Tell you what. Organize all of the theists who don't want us here to spend a week only talking about theology and I can guarantee atheists will leave. Of course most theists will also.

"what do you mean to drink?"
It's drinking game someone invented. When a question is posted that has been posted hundreds of times before it's their cue to 'drink'. Sorry but this question does get asked many times every day.

What kind of question is this? I'm an Atheist, and no we don't believe in any theological being. I'm interested in all kinds of religions, just because I'm an Atheist doesn't mean that I don't want to read and learn about other religions. Actually think before you speak, or type.

Atheism is the rejection of religion. That means it is ABOUT religion. So this is the place to talk about it. And this question gets asked like 50 times a day. Are you guys really that insecure that you can't take criticism?

I also go to the bird section. Am I a bird? No, but I am interested in birds. I am here because religion has a huge influence on our society. I want to provide a counter point to make people think.

They have every right to be here and share their views, like the rest of us. Some of them are interested in hearing what others want to say.

this is a place to discuss religion and spirituality...not a place for Christians to just hang.
we can all learn from each other if we are willing to have open dialogue....there are many good and intelligent atheists...and many good and intelligent Christians...an open dialogue is how we will all learn to get along better with each otehr.
