Ok, well I am an Atheist, and I just want to know why so many people have so many different views on what an Atheist is, what an Atheist believes in, and why so many people think that Atheists are so violent?
For example, one girl I met that didn't know I was an Atheist yet, said she thought Atheists believe that after we die we become trees. I had never heard anything like this before, and since then I've heard alot of different beliefs about Atheists that are pretty off mark. So it got me thinking, why is there so much confusion about it?

How do you understand this verse, especially when it said, tongues shall cease. Please interpret in the light from 1 Cor ch11 to 15.

1) 1Co 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

2) 1Co 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe.


(NOTE: Tongues is a sign to the UNBELIEVERS! ! ! )

Sure there are a lot of wacky fundamentalists who give the religion a bad name, but they are no worse than fundamentalists of any religion and they are a very small minority. For the most part we are moral, law abiding citizens who don't look to push our religion on anybody else. If the religion really helps us as people, then why do you feel it neccessary to prove that it false?

Why is my prayer anymore a waste of time than your sitting on Y!A? Why are you here? If prayer is a waste of time, isn't Y!A also? So quit wasting your time here...get out and DO.

Someone will call me a hypocrite because I am here too. I am simply pointing out that if my praying for the needy is a waste of time, then you sitting on Y!A is a waste of time as well. You aren't doing anything constructive to help at this moment...so why aren't you out doing something?

Oh, wait, I forgot Christians waste time by praying (according to you atheists). Atheists never waste time, now do they? They are always doing for others with every spare second they have...

How is my spending time praying anymore useless to the needy (I don't think it's useless) than you sitting on Y!A?

Yep, this is basically a big F you, if you tell Christians they should be constantly doing instead of praying, and that you are superior because you DO with your time.

I have an aversion to hygeine. I never wash my hands and will do anything to get out of it, I never change my underwear, I rarely take a shower and I sometimes don't wipe. I'll sometimes stick my hands in places I should'nt then eat without washing. I'm rarely ever sick so I guess it can't be that bad, right? Also why do you think I not take care of myself? If you wallow in your own filth will you not get sick? Is it only other's?

With so much controversy going on, I am led to ask this question. What makes atheists believe they bible is a hoax. Secondly, You are always asking for proof that there is a God. I'm asking you to prove if you can that there is no God. I want to start a debate, but I want to keep it clean, no name calling. No making persons of the other persuasion feel like they are ignorant. Can we just agree that we will disagree, and provide the best answers possible. & I have a very diverse set of people I hang out with. It seems like people think i'm trying to be black. I'm on our schools step-team...and have so many people who make fun of me for it because i'm the "only white girl."
I like to Step. Plain and simple.
To me I just hang out with people. But to others I hang out with the "gangstas"
The different groups of people I hang out with would never hang out with one another. I just hop from one to another....

no the truth is, you do not care for heaven and never were seeking God and "his" righteousness and lost heaven. That is why he sent the blood. Not because you are retarted in sin. What kind of God would create me to throw me into hell...or create me and want to nail his son to a cross(great father)


He calls him self a great Judge......hey big guy I plead insanity....and I have all the world to back me up. For we HAVE to sin, even if you thing you do not have to......FOR WE ALL SINNERS. Only God is perfect...why? Big guy goes out and kicks the crap out of his son for us, and the whole world sings for joy...yippy he can rise again I am saved. I'm a junior in highschool, and lately we have been talking about all the differnt scholarships that are available. The thing that is brought up most is the fact that there isn't a scholarship for being "white". Umm why should there be? I'm not racist, I'm actually African American and "white". I'm very proud of both my ethnicity's. So don't even go there. I would like everyones oppinion on "white" scholarships.
