What do religions other than Christianity think in opposition to the theory of evolution? What are the creation stories somewhat equivalent to Adam and Eve?

As many religions as there are in existence today, you have a variation of the creation story. Most of the cults today, likewise have a theory, there are far too many to list here.
Probably the most definitive book on the subject, is {History of the Worlds Religions, by David Noss and Blake R. Grangaard. It is a pretty pricey book, but you won't be disappointed. You might find a cheaper used edition on e-bay.
