I left one because it seemed to contradict the Bible, but now I don't know anymore.
Is believing in God enough, or do you have to be in a religion too?
I want a refund, please.

The ONLY religion that GAURANTEES your entry into heaven if you believe in God is Christianity. If you want to know more, please email me.

This is a personal issue. Every person has to decide what religion if any is right for them. I left religions because it seemed that I needed to; but I never let it affect my relationship with God. The important thing is your relationship with Deity, however you view it. Don't let anyone tell you what you can and cannot believe; only you know what Deity is like for you and how you decide to worship it.
The problem with a question like this is that those in belief systems that are told to recruit people to their religion, will try to persuade you to go with their belief. This is an awesome question by the way, and it is shows great wisdom. Don't let anyone tell you different.

A Christian does not believe in religion....

Religion is nothing more than mankinds attempt to mix his ways, methods, schemes and beliefs in with Gods way...

Christianity allows one the freedom to make their own choices of what to believe and do dictated only by the Bible through the Holy Spirit.

For those seeking, here are a few ways;

1) Find a church that preaches the TRUE GOSPEL...
2) Seek a mature Christian who lives the life...

Along with prayer and trusting Jesus to guide you... and if you are looking for someone who is ready to offer you their help now, then please email me at tn.minister@yahoo.com.

I think if you pick and choose messages from religion you will find positive things everywhere, just look into them.

People always talk about christianity and islam around here, but learning about eastern religions is very interesting, because in learning about them you learn about their culture as well.

There is nothing wrong with looking into religions and finding what it is that people cling too, the stuff that works; gives people hope and serves as a motivator for morality, the overall gist of the religion. You can learn a lot about humanity and what we fear and what we treasure.

You can find a lot of these same themes in philosophy too, which is my preferred method because it focuses on the above without all the baggage.

United States Most Religious Among Wealthy Nations, Survey Says http://news.adventist.org/data/2002/1041361946/index.html.en

Americans are also the most religiously ignorant people in the Western world, according to this article.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/03/01/AR2007030102073.html

Fewer than half of us can identify Genesis as the first book of the Bible, and only one third know that Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. Yet a 2005 survey by the Pew Forum found that nearly two-thirds of Americans endorse the simultaneous teaching of creationism and evolution in public schools. How, asks the author, can citizens have an informed opinion about creationism if fewer than half can identify Genesis?

Approximately 75 percent of adults mistakenly believe the Bible teaches that "God helps those who help themselves." He says that 10 percent identify Joan of Arc as Noah's wife. Only half can name even one of the four Gospels. Evangelical Christians are almost as ignorant as mainstream Christians.

Even worse in today's world is the fact that Americans know even less about Islam, Buddhism, Confucianism and Hinduism than they do about Christianity and Judaism.

Do you really need a religion?

If you feel that your belief system is strong, then pressing into the Bible should be sufficient.

If you desire fellowship, look for churches that claim a non-denominational slant. Bible study groups are also a good place to look.

No one has to follow any one certain religion-------believing in G-d is enough. If you want to belong, for the sake of community, study different religions. Go to their places of worship and mingle with the people. Once, and if, you find a place that is just right for you-------you will know it.

Please make correction. Which one is right for Jesus/God? We do not matter in the eternal scheme of things, we just want to be there, where ever there is.

Some say believing is enough, but the Bible tells us even the devils believed and trembled, but did not change their ways.

Religion is man made, read the Holy Bible and attend a church that goes strictly by the Holy Bible. Like a Calvary Chapel, or Breann Fellowship.

what happens when we leave religion is our spirit heals.... when it heals we return to nature and spirit is what connects us to the whole.. when we have a healthy spirit we can't help but sense our connection to something bigger... the church doesn't allow for humanity to understand that this is nature we are connected to... they trick the humans by claiming responsibility for this natural occurence.. everything in nature they seek to take credit for... how arrogant of these men, like the pope who claim they create the world when the world existed before any of them existed.. all the good stuff in the bible are stolen information from pagans and non beleivers what ever they call themselves... common sense and human conscience come from natural behavior.. something the church is always condemning... there is no god to worship.. there is no after life... religions seek to rob us of our one life and the enjoyment of that life..

You have to determine for yourself what your criteria will be to believe in gods.

I require some objective, validatable, verifiable evidence to support the claim that some god exists.

You will have to figure it what it is that will make you believe. In the meantime, I suggest you stay away from religion.
