I don't know, but it is pretty interesting. I've learned a lot about Mormon beliefs from the Mormons here answering some of the questions about it. I wasn't planning on ever learning about Mormonism, but it's asked about so much on these boards, it's kind of unavoidable.

Well I would be included in 'everybody' and I'm not one bit concerned or interested in the Mormons. However, I do know some LDS people and they are very nice, hard working, and very devoted to their religion. The fact I disagree theologically doesn't mean I cannot be friends with them.

I suppose it's because not many people know much about their religion and are curious, and they've been talked about on the news recently with Mitt Romney's speech and whatnot. And there's the fact that it is one of the fastest growing churches in the world, which is really interesting to a lot of people.

I don't anyone is interested in Mormons.......they are the ones interested in everyone else...If they weren't they wouldn't be knocking on doors at 8 am like the door to door salesmen they are. Sadly some people are gullible to buy into all that nonsense.

I think people are interested in Mormonism because it is one of about a handful of American cults that sprang up in the mid 19th century. Like the others, they have peculiar practices and beliefs.
