Please...someone tell me that there are others among us who DON'T believe in the InvestiagtiveJudgment as a LITERAL event?

Surely, Jesus is an Eternal Being who does not need to operate on Human Lengths?

...maybe it was just to save face?

AND

Ellen White...am I the only one who doesn't think she is a "prophect" prophet, but merely a speaker to the people, and a good person, mostly?

Apparently perfection is dull. Apparently he did not want to create mindless puppets. Yet, how can he PUNISH that which he gave birth to? I don't care if "God" is devious, all I want to know is the logic behind his actions.

According to the bible, the only way to please "God" is to give up free will, and surrender our will to him. Thus making us his puppets, which brings me back to the beginning. Why?

If someone was mostly honest and kind to others and has good morals would he/she ever turn into one of the worst villains ever? If you read Macbeth, it shows that a hero becomes corrupt because he is tempted. Some people I've known in the past were good before but then changed into something totally different. DO you think love issues could have cause this?

Do you think it was because they were betrayed by their friends? What makes a good person go bad? Also why is the good person who goes bad seems stronger when they are bad?

Thank you for reading.

The inquisition has been highly over rated in High School History courses because protestants and others have been taught exagerations. If it weren't for the inquistion you would be speaking in Arabic and praying to Alah. Many protestants criticise the Catholic Church for teaching about the Eucharist and the 7 Sacraments, yet the Eastern Churches and the Orthodox Church teach the very same things? Yet High School history in many places, doesn't even teach about the "East." The Middle Ages are called the "Dark Ages?" Why, only to make the church look bad. But the reality is that the Catholic Church built western civilization. Why not look at various issues in the Catholic Encyclopedia in your local library and see the Church's side of the issues? Because High School History courses have the motivation of making the Catholic Church look bad in order to promote a false idea of the Reformation. But the reality is that now kids are having no faith at all, except secularism.

I was in a car wreck Monday --was hit in drivers and back door at 55 mph..saw car today..it was in shambles...brother said one second slower and you would be dead..anyway, after seeing car and having talk with neighbor..I had a long talk with God...tried to forgive everyone who hurt me or who I disliked or hated..told God to take control again 23 years after becoming saved and for the first time right after my mom died 4 months ago. I wanted to see my car at impound and see if brothers got everything from car (they didn't)..had no way there. I prayed and felt God saying to ask a neighbor that I did not know that well..I was scared to and would have preferred asking one of the neighbors I knew better but decided I needed to learn to obey God...btw I was upset that I lost car..need money as need to buy a car, new winter coat (they cut my only one off), money for ticket and lost Christmas presents(several bags blew away from two open cut off doors and broken windows when they towed it

if the bible was so holy and sacred, and believed to be penned by God himself, why does it have to be altered and modified by man? if God were to write something, which its purpose is to provide truth, it will be bar none, PERFECT. i.e, complete and not to be tempered with for all eternity. if so, why are there like a gazillion versions of the bible, all distinct it its words, and its content. they have been re-written by man, over and over. so now i question u, are the words of God imperfect? and lets not touch the subject of "sects". if there is only 1 God, and with him 1 true religion, why are there so many of these sects, which are too very different from each other. take for example, protestants.

Honestly now! How many times in history have Christians done atrocious things to those who think/act/believe differently? When's the last time you heard of an atheist or agnostic going on a Christian killing spree? I hear so many Christians claim that they are the majority in the world, then turn around and say how persecuted they are. And in this country, conservative Christians try to legislate morality based on their own religious beliefs and sometimes they win! I don't understand how they can feel so persecuted when they're so good at trying to keep everyone else under their thumb.

What religion what someone be considered if:
They went to a private Christian school from preschool to 3rd grade, and had many concepts jammed into their little 8 year old brain.
If they always hated church, and going, but always believed in God. (Still do.)
They believe in God, but not necessarily the Bible, in some aspects, yes.

Would really go under any 'religion'? I always thought it was Agnostic. But, now I'm not sure.

This is the list of the fruit of the Holy Spirit, as in Galatians 5:22-23, with King James Version on the left (and NIV in parenthesis, if the Greek is translated different).

And before you say, “I try”, as many answered my last question...

Notice that they are the fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Does fruit on a tree come naturally?
Yes: With the Sun, Water, and Food!

So does the fruit of the Holy Spirit come naturally from one born of Spirit?
Yes: With the Son, Holy Spirit, and Word of God!

In other words, these characteristics are not something we “try to be”.
Instead, they (super)naturally flow from one saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, walking by the Holy Spirit, and feasting on His Word (the Bible).

Let me give a couple of examples: Protestants think that Catholics don't read the bible. But many do. Many protestants still think that Catholics are told not to read the bible, yet no official Church pronouncement has ever given such a directive. Church teaching actually encourages all to read the scriptures. Some protestants think that Catholics believe that they can buy their way to heaven. Yet no official church teaching has now, or in the past, ever said such a thing. Many protestants think that a Catholic believes that going to confession gives one the right to sin again. Yet the Church has always taught the exact opposite. Why are so many protestants misinformed about what the Catholic Church actually does teach?

I don't believe in my own faith. Or any faith for that matter. Please don't take it personally. I respect all religions and hate none of them. I just despise my situation.

I was baptized as a baby. I had no choice. Later, I was forced to go to church school.

I'm forced to believe in a God that I do not worship.

I'm forced to see the good in people, and endure long masses and sermons. Where the preaches there? Disturbs me to the innermost core.

God is great. God is merciful. Listen to this. The Bible says that.

This is a pure reverse psychological effect. Of course I feel a little rebellion after my forced servitude to the Lord.

Truthfully, I think that there is no God. Jesus was based on a real person yes. Like Santa Claus was.
People need someone to look up to. An almighty.
That's how God was created in a mind aspect

BUT I AM SO SICK OF THIS.

I don't want to listen to (what I think is) lies.
I'll do chores, hard labor, anything!
Help?
