That's right. Or else they wouldn't be here. There must be other subjects on YA that they can participate in.
John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

No. It's because they don't see any reason to believe that there is a god. For example, there's no evidence suggesting that a god exists. That's why I'm an atheist. And atheists are the only ones who sin.

I don't believe in God because the very notion of a God makes no sense to me.
It is as if someone came up to me and told me that there was a large antelope living on my head. I would look in the mirror and tell them that they were dead wrong. There is no antelope on my head! Yet they would insist that there was, and that if only I would believe in this antelope, I could live forever in a mystical place of joy. Otherwise I shall be roasted eternally.
However, there is no antelope on my head, nor impossible deity living in the sky, who knows all of our thoughts, actions, prayers, and what will happen to us. Some sort of all-powerful, all-knowing thing who showed up out of nowhere and made all this!?
Why on Earth should I believe such a thing? There is no proof, aside from a few silly testimonies.
Just like the people who say that there is an antelope on my head! They have no proof, other than a Bible.
But as the old saying goes-
How do we know that what the Bible says is true? Because it is the word of God. How do we know it is the word of God? Because the Bible said so.

No.
I just don't believe in your god. You need not look for any deeper reason -- I just don't.
As far as "sinning" goes, to me, as an atheist, the only "sin" is to damage other people, or our mutual environment, without some overwhelmingly necessary reason. And I am VERY conservative about what I call "necessary."
Sex without a ritual (marriage)? Not a problem for me - I don't see it as a "sin."
Promiscuity? Sure, I went with a lot of women when I was younger. Learned a few things, and I use 'em to keep my committed partner Ms. Red very happy in our bed!
Same-gender sex? Not my thing, but if it's yours, go right ahead! I've got no problem with it.
Lying? I try to avoid it - it's hard to keep a fake story straight. But I won't tell Ms. Red her butt looks fat in that dress, either!
Running around at night? Well, I'm something of a homebody, but I've answered late night phone calls from buds who needed a lift. And I've gone to get 'em, too!
Gambling? Not really my thing, but I've bought a lotto ticket or two, and once I hit the jackpot on a slot machine. Bought a new pair of glasses and a shotgun with the winnings. Never regretted it.
Abortion? I sat in a waiting room and held my ex-wife's hand while we waited for her abortion. I helped pay for it. And while it would have been nice to have a kid, we were young, broke, and in no shape to raise one. So I don't think we "sinned."
And divorce? She and I decided in a very friendly, and careful way, that we were not suited to be together. No name calling, fighting over property, or any of that nonsense. We still exchange friendly "hello" notes once in awhile. So no, that wasn't a "sin" either.
Drinking? Well, I don't actually like the effects very much, so I don't, but ask any of my friends who visit if I mix decent drinks for them!
Killing? I've never taken a shot at another human being, except once, back in the 1980s. A guy was burning a cross on my friend's lawn, a clear death threat. And I'm sorry I missed.
I'm paying for a stepson to go to college. I've coached Little League. I've been a good brother to my fellow union members (including collecting food and clothing for other members' families during strikes). I worked at less than half the going wage for a program that trained blind vets for civilian jobs. I've had elderly neighbors over during hurricanes so they could share our generator and freezer.
Sure, I've snapped at Ms. Red, been short-tempered with the boy, threw out a squeaky-toy the dog loved but that drove me NUTS.
I'm not perfect, but neither am I a particularly "sinful" person.
I think I've done some good in the world. And that doesn't stop me from being an atheist.
In fact, the same frame of mind that makes me an atheist HELPS me do some good in the world! And I do it because I think it needs doing - not because some guy in the sky is threatening me if I don't!

Most Atheists I know are very moral people. Also, they don't believe in God because they can't help it. They just aren't convinced.
You are thinking of an Anti-theist- one who is against a certain God. Only an Anti-theist could pretend to not believe in God because they didn't like his rules.
An Atheist doesn't believe there is a God, so they have no want for there not to be one.

No. Atheists simply subscribe to a NON-BELIEF.
Atheism is not a behaviour, it is a matter of logical deduction.
The President of The Australian Medical Association is an atheist and she has just announced a $7 million funding grant to build a burns unit for children here in Sydney.
Atheists do good things for good people.

Thats a weird question, like me asking Do you believe in God because you want to go to heaven? Honestly I don't believe in god because he can do unspeakable horrible acts and no matter what anyone says it is all for the betterment of man kind, except that no one knows and we are supposed to put our trust in something that gets away with murder, yet says not to do it. Truthfully we would never know if something was for the better or not, thats way to much trust for me. Now if there was no heaven or hell would you still believe in god, I think not

That would be the stupidest reason ever for being an atheist. There is only one reason to be an atheist, there is no evidence for god.

No. Everybody behaves badly on occasion, believer and nonbeliever alike. I feel guilty when I transgress against my fellow man -- not because some supernatural entity is judging me -- but simply because life is hard enough, and it's a sh*tty thing to do to someone else.

Maybe some, but I don't think so. I think some people just find it hard to believe in because you can't see God and there's really no "proof" that God, heaven, hell, etc. exists.
That's just my opinion on what they might think... I don't know exactly, I'm not an athiest.
And I don't JUDGE them on their opinions either... everyone is entitled to one and it's not hurting anyone.

Yes. I am a devout Christian, but both of my children, to my chagrin, are atheists. I don't know how an 8 and 6 year old can be atheists, but thats what they tell me. They refuse to go to church with me. It concerns me because of their young age.
