I don't believe in my own faith. Or any faith for that matter. Please don't take it personally. I respect all religions and hate none of them. I just despise my situation.

I was baptized as a baby. I had no choice. Later, I was forced to go to church school.

I'm forced to believe in a God that I do not worship.

I'm forced to see the good in people, and endure long masses and sermons. Where the preaches there? Disturbs me to the innermost core.

God is great. God is merciful. Listen to this. The Bible says that.

This is a pure reverse psychological effect. Of course I feel a little rebellion after my forced servitude to the Lord.

Truthfully, I think that there is no God. Jesus was based on a real person yes. Like Santa Claus was.
People need someone to look up to. An almighty.
That's how God was created in a mind aspect

BUT I AM SO SICK OF THIS.

I don't want to listen to (what I think is) lies.
I'll do chores, hard labor, anything!
Help?

No one can force you to believe anything.

when you turn 18, move out, get a job, and make your own choices.

You are in a common situation.

It would be less interesting to escape than it would be to study. If you are a non-believer, listening to a sermon or watching a religious ceremony should not make you uncomfortable, it should make you curious about how it all started. Christians are worthy of study as a sociological phenomenon. You should ask them questions that they don't usually answer, ask them to explain various problematic passages in their holy books. Christianity is the dominant culture in the Western world at the moment, and it would be a good idea to find out what it's all about.

Just remember, that they can make you say the words, but they can't really make you believe in what you do not believe in. Someday, you will be able to break free from this and if you've done your homework about it, then you can have a good perspective about it.

If you are unhappy with it, don't continue with it. There is no point attending services if you truly don't believe. I know I have been having some thoughts about those sorts of things. I don't mind going to church, but I see what religion has done through history and around the world today and I question it. Life is too short to be unhappy or do things you really don't want to do. Everything is ultimately up to you, so do what makes you happy! Those who love you will (hopefully) eventually respect your decision even though it may be difficult at first. Good luck!

Have you ever been scared, you think there is someone looking at you when you go into dark places or into so called hunted houses, is there a so called devil? I bet you wonder why i ask you these questions but if you believe in the devil you must certainly have to believe in a god. Think of it this way if there are demons and a devil in this world, of course there has to be a god to maintain control (where there is good there is bad). If there was no god, this world would be controlled by the devil. Its your decision to believe or not to believe in a god but if you believe in a god make sure its the right one. What are churches teaching us? Are we learning what its supposed to be learned? I think you have to believe on whats written on the bible and not what people tell you. Think of the bible like if it was written by humans but god was telling the humans what to write. Thats what the bible is; its not based on what some people wanted us to do but what god wanted us to follow. I'm no preach at all, i don't work for any church but i was thought that by some people that went up my door and have a church thats based on what the bible says and not what a preach thinks it says. I think that those people have a good point of view don't you think? But whats the real religion that praise the real god? You have to find out.

Well, if you don't believe in yourself, you can't believe other as well and I think you should try each religion because the way you just stated showed that you don't believe in God just because you are force to believe. Test which religion do you think is right. I think Jesus is base on a real person, but Santa Claus isn't and I don't think they can just make a pretend person (Jesus) and put it on the world's time line (B.C and A.D). Well that's my opinion and learn to trust yourself.

Why can't you just stop? or are you to young? If it is something your parents are forcing you to do, telling them how you feel probably won't help. You'll probably just have to endure it for now...then when you are old enough, you can choose your own path. I believe in Christ...but i can tell that it is really upsetting you. By forcing you, they may be turning you against Christ...I hope not. Anyway good luck...all people should be free to choose for themselves, provided that they are old enough.

>>I'm forced to believe in a God that I do not worship.

No one can force you to believe. Obviously they didn't since you posted this.

>>I'm forced to see the good in people...

Nope. Again- to be "forced" denotes success- but no success here- as you are implying evil in the action of the forced religious observance. (yes- successful there as you were forced to go to church) so- you did not see good here.

See? you have more self-determination then you are giving yourself credit for.

Take what little control you have over your life and revel in it. You will soon have more when you leave home.

Talk to your parents (if that's who's forcing you). Tell them how you feel. There's always a chance that they won't understand, but if you explain that by forcing you to do something you don't want to do they're not only pushing you farther away from the thing they want you to believe in, but also from them. I had a hard time telling my family I didn't believe in anything, but after a while they learned to accept it. Hopefully yours will too. :)

Well it really depends on how much control you have over your life. If you're an adult then you can easily just walk away from all that crap but I doubt that you are so in that case all you can really do is try to resist (but that might cause problems with your parents) so you'd probably be better off just waiting it out until you can move away from them and not be dependent upon their support.

your okay! you've had religion forced down your throat for so long you could puke and I understand why you hate it, believe what you want and thank God ( no pun intended!) you came around and found yourself instead of being brainwashed or a hypocrite. That's why I quit going to church, The number of Hypocrites in church made me want to puke! Go enjoy your life now for real.

Sounds awful. But you can't be forced to believe, only forced to act like you do. Christians have forced their dogmatic nonsense on humanity since the inquisitions. Just be glad modern law prevents them from burning you at the stake for heresy.
