Yes!!
2Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

When I had made necessary changes in my life to be closer to God, God really worked through me even more.
It takes more than repenting. I learned that if you read the Bible at least a few chapters a day, it REALLY strengthens my bond with God. It was not only EASIER to turn from sin, but I have new inspirations. Letters from apostle Paul can be very inspiring. It's also easier to turn from sin if you are careful with who socialize with on a regular basis. I don't refuse to have non-Christian friends, but I am being careful not to be hanging out with anyone who I might find myself stumbling, and I am careful about how I am around someone because I don't want to cause anyone to stumble (stumble in this context means sin) I still am not perfect, and need to make changes in myself. I'm still a work in progress.
I also am getting better about seeking God for advice and putting things into his hands. As a result, He blessed me with new spiritual strength, strength in knowing everything will be alright someday!
Good seeing you again, sugar! :-)

You are correct. Its just those that refuse to give up their sinful lives that cant see the hand of God working in their lives.

Did you know that repent is ancient Greek for "to change ones mind"
Did you also know that John the Baptist never said "repent of your sin's" Look it up if you don't believe me.
He just said repent....change your mind...he said.
Change your mind and believe the good news of Jesus Christ (that he is the Messiah, and if you believe it you will pass from judgment to grace(forgiveness)
So whats up with Christian's today?
Why do they try to live under the law?(10 commandments)
Its simple...they believe the false gospel of living under the law and faith.
Check out what peter said.....book of acts ch 15;9
All that is required for salvation is faith.
Faith not works.........faith.
Also he says that trying to live under the LAW is to tempt god.
Repent(change your mind) and believe the good news of Jesus Christ.
If any one out there thinks this sounds weird Please Email me-

At least you brought out the term FAITH. That is a much better explanation for religious belief than whipping out a bunch of threats.
