1 CORINTHIANS 1
18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:
"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;
the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."[c]

20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

When the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered it put 1000 years of light upon the archaeological evidence of the PERFECTION of the Scriptures, and God’s PLENARY INSPIRATION AND PRESERVATION. The Dead Sea scrolls were 1000 years older than what was previously known. Aside from them being more difficult to read, THERE WAS NO DIFFERENCE IN SUBSTANCE FROM THE WORDS OF THE KJV OLD TESTAMENT WHICH WE HAVE TODAY.

Bow down and worship him? nothing matters at all except that we worship and kiss his butt, and if we dont we burn in Hell, isnt that a selfish way of getting somebody to love you?

by the way, I do believe in God, just not the one I just described.

If you have some strong (or not so strong) beliefs, I'd really like to hear them. I'm kind of confused about the path I'm taking religiously at the moment. I've always been raised as a Catholic but I'm almost starting to question it at this point. I've been researching a lot of other religions lately, trying to find one that matches my beliefs. So this would really help me in my search. Thanks so much :)

i am asian, work and live in one of europe country. in 6 years i've been treated bad by most people in the city where i live. i work as customer relation and i won an award 2 years i a row for that. but ironically, most of my customer treated me so bad. i work in a restaurant. sometime they throw food at me or ketchup or pickel or even glass of coke and they laugh about it and if i ignore it then they start to call me f***ing chinese or f***ing refugee. in other time if my boss ask me to deal with some complaint then when they see me they refuse to talk to me and they ask to see someone white or someone who speak english? ah hello...i've worked in that country for 6 years and i am a manager now, do they really think that i'd be a manager if i don't speak english? i can't confront them, my hands are tight.
now i begin to hate people in that country. although not all of them are bad but all the bad experience i had made me feel this way.
so...am i a racist now?

I'm doing a foreign language short film for my film studies class, could you translate the following?

C- I was walking in the street in the rain and I slipped and fell down some stairs. Now my arm is broken.

A- Did you go to hospital?

C- No, I am a doctor. So it was possible for me to help myself.

B- I think you hurt your arm robbing the house.

C- No, I did not.

A- If it was you, I don't care about the money or the things but if you have my wife's ring it is very important to me.

C- Is it a gold ring with a green stone? Like this one?

A- Yes, that is it!

C- I found it on the ground near my house.

B- See! I told you she is a thief! She stole the ring!

A- But, she said she found it.

B- That sounds very strange to me. She hurt her arm breaking your window and now she feels bad.

A- I didn't tell you a window was broken. How did you know that?

...

More translations needed. I'll post one final question.

If god knows everything, then why would prayer work? Wouldn’t the knowledge of any and every event result in the inability to change any event and thus answer the prayer.

like God, nothing has that power except Jehovah himself... so what do you make of this scripture of Gods omnipresent spirit?
PSALMS 139:7-10 - Where can I go from your spirit,
And where can I run away from your face?

8 If I should ascend to heaven, there you would be;
And if I should spread out my couch in She´ol, look! you [would be there].

OR concerning JESUS' omnipresence in his own words in
MATTHEW 18:20 - For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there I am in their midst.”

THAT COVERS THE ENTIRE WORLD! i know he's not santa clause as he can zip around from africa to antartica in a single evening. HE IS IN THIER MIDSTS. all the time when beckoned by his followers. what can you say regarding these facts?
