Here's a handy link with scripture included:

Perhaps this website can be of some assistance. I would also recommend the Catholic Encylopedia online. It's free and has everything you could ever imagine relating to the history of the church.

:)

Dear Friend,

There is no reference in the Word of God giving mention of "the saint of the day." Specifically because God does not want us to focus on saints, but on His Son Jesus Christ and what He did on the Cross for (sinners) us.

However, All Christian's (those whom are born-again and have surrendered their lives over to Jesus Christ), ARE saints...who have been saved by grace. It does not mean that Christian's are perfect. It means seeking to be "like" (having the character of) Christ...hence the word Christian.

The Old Testament says in ...Deut. 33:3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words.

The New Testament says in...
1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saint's, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:

The Old and New Testaments are woven "together". You cannot have one without the other.

If it's not in Scripture (the whole Word of God), it isn't absolute truth.

Sincerely in Christ Jesus,

lostnsavd...
