I have.

I have been studying with a witness. I am so confused! I have been researching the origin of the religion (not through the witness) on my own and I have not found anything positive. The woman that I am studying with is very nice and is trying to help me understand the religion. How can I trust that this religion operated by imperfect humans is perfect and is the way to go? How do I know that it is the truth? How do I know that it is operated through God's Holy Spirit?

Or anything supernatural, for that matter?

"There must be something more, something bigger than us out there. Saying that you're an atheist and that you don't believe in anything supernatural is very arrogant, since there HAS to be something else. How do you explain all the claims of ghost sightings and demon possetions?"

A friend of mine recently told me this when we had a discussion on religion. What say you?

Theism is the belief in a god figure
An atheist is someone who is not sure about the existence of a higher being/god figure.
I am 100% positive that there is no such thing, and i feel that religion needs to be opposed in all it's forms, because it is at best a hinderence to logic and at worst a danger to human life.
That is why a am an antitheist.
Will you join me in the quest for common sense?

I need some advice on how to *politely* deal with being asked if I've been "saved". I'm an atheist/agnostic and I have a couple that I meet in social situations (friends of friend from work situation-- Christmas parties, BBQs etc) who always ask me if I'm saved (and if not want to discuss in depth exactly why not and convince me that I'm wrong).

I want to be polite about it, but they are very persistent (to the point of feeling aggressive) and don't seem to really listen to what I say anyway. I don't want to lie (I have to be true to myself), but they manage to find me at any gathering we're at and turn it into an uncomfortable event. Since I enjoy the company of my friend (and his parties) I don't want to be rude, but it gets to a point where I'm afraid I'll impolitely tell them to back off. I also want to be as respectful of their beliefs as possible.

Any advice on what to say?

'Coz someone reported my question, and some people say that we ARE abnormal for having felt so! Excuse me, we were CHILDREN then, and we know better now! Some say it IS wrong to crush on a relative, even if at a young age! C'mon, people! Besides, those feelings are gone! We're more like best friends now! I have a VERY passionate girlfriend!

That's what some people claim. Didn't he go to the cross willingly? I knownhis death and resurrection was the climax of his mission on earth. Why would some people say he tried to escape the cross? Isn't that the way some Muslims believe?

Most store associates are barely paid above minimum wage, so I really don't understand the customers who think that these poor people are suppose to just put up with their crap. It's just plain rude, and I bet they wouldn't like to be treated like that at their jobs.

It makes no sense because if Adam and Eve had NOT sinned they would have been immortal humans, then their children would procreate and the Earth would have become full eventually and no one would be able to have anymore children because as no one would be dying it would lead to overpopulation. How could humans live in a world without procreating as reproduction is one of the main attributes of the human body.

The lyrics are from the song "a little pain" by OLIVIA. I've found different translations of the following lines on different websites, so I'm looking for another opinion:

kimi wa nemuri yume wo toku
dare mo inai hoshi no hikari ayatsurinagara

tsuyoku naru tame wasureta egao
kitto futari nara torimodosu

Also, if there are any words that can be translated differently depending on the context, or words that are idioms, please tell me. Thank you!

If god is so great why did he take six days to create the universe? I mean he even had rests at night and resumed work the following day. Did he get tired?

Also, why did he create light on the first day and then again a few days later? Furthermore, it appears as though he created plants before he created the sun. Doesn't god know about photosynthesis?

People are attacking each other, criticizing one another, judging each others faith in Islam, making ugly accusations and deciding for themselves who is a worthy Muslim and who is not. Is this how we, as Muslims, are expected to act? Have you forgotten what Islam teaches? Do you NOT UNDERSTAND that we are all at different levels in our deen, that we are all learning everyday about how Islam is and what is exected of us? Do you forget that ONLY ALLAH can judge us and it IS NOT YOUR PLACE TO JUDGE OTHERS?? I am sick from what I am seeing here and ashamed to say I share the same faith as many of you, because we are OBVIOUSLY NOTHING ALIKE. I may be far from the perfect Muslim, with sooooo much left to learn, but I am proud to say I am not at all like so many of you here. InshaAllah, we will all learn to become better people AS WELL as better Muslims.

My friend is trying to convince me that Easter was a rip-off of Passover. I'm Jewish and I don't see how Easter has anything to do with Passover whatsoever.
Any insight anyone?
