It makes no sense because if Adam and Eve had NOT sinned they would have been immortal humans, then their children would procreate and the Earth would have become full eventually and no one would be able to have anymore children because as no one would be dying it would lead to overpopulation. How could humans live in a world without procreating as reproduction is one of the main attributes of the human body.

heres the current situation we face (according to most religion):

we've inherited death, suffering, etc.. because of Adam and Eve

If Adam and Eve hadnt sinned (what God wanted:
We world live in a peaceful world, and be immortal humans and not be able to have children once the earth became full.

They were created immortal and when they ate the fruit, they sinned against God. If they hadnt sinned how long would God have allowed them to stay in the Garden of Eden before moving them to 'heaven'.

@Jordan L. If God knew that they were going to sin why did God command them not to eat from the tree of knowledge.

Actually, you haven't asked the question which most people (in their shortsightedness) think you've asked. The question you've actually asked is a very good one -- if you don't understand how God works. It might seem that God was shortsighted when He created this world for an (effectively) immortal race -- as part of His Perfect Plan. However, here's the thing...

I believe our entire Milky Way galaxy was created at the time our Earth was created. Other galaxies were created before that and would certainly be much older than our galaxy. This would also explain why the spin rates, axis, and direction of the other galaxies don't fit within the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum as it would apply if trying to use the Big Bang Theory to explain the Universe. Meaning, they were each created separately, by God, and given their own unique characteristics and unique beings to inhabit them. You see, a truly Creative Genius with all the Power in the Universe at His disposal would never do the same thing twice -- just check out the snow flake and your fingerprints. ;-)

At any rate... I believe God created each galaxy as the home for each of His unique Creations and that particular Creation is to populate that entire galaxy. So, the other galaxies have accepted The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit as their Triune God. The parable of the Lost Sheep (Luke 15:4-6) is an allegory of 100 Creations. 99 of them have remained true to God (remained within the fold). One of them was lost (our world). The Shepherd left the ninety and nine and went out to find His Lost Sheep. Humanity.

Support for this?

Job 1:6 "Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them."

Job 2:1 "Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD."

As with a king, the "sons of God" are princes. Each of God's Creations have had their "first man" and that "first man" is given dominion, by God, of that Creation. Thus, that "first man" becomes a prince of his world. Adam was that man for us (Luke 3:38), but he surrendered his dominion to the devil when he took the devil's word over God's Word. Thus, satan showed up at these Heavenly Meetings to represent our world. God even challenged his right to be there:

Job 1:7 "And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou?"

Upon answering that he had come from the earth -- from walking up and down in his dominion -- God ceased His challenge and proceeded to other subjects. This effectively accepted satan's right to attend these Heavenly Council meetings. But, satan lost that right when Jesus bought back dominion of this world by paying the Ultimate Price.

So, yes, God Created Adam and Eve as an effectively immortal couple whom were to be fruitful and populate the earth (Gen. 1:28). But it wasn't to stop at just the earth. They were to be the prince and princess of a race which would ultimately populate the entire Milky Way Galaxy as our home. Now, THAT, would take *some* doing. ;-)

The Bible says so.

God knew that they were going to sin so there was no worry for overpopulation.

Besides that, God, being all powerful, all knowing, and all present could easily have either made the earth bigger or allowed man to space travel and care for other planets.

Do note that they were also immortal because of the tree of life (Gen. 3:22-24). This further indicates that the death that they received immediately was spiritual and that their loss of being physically immortal was an added punishment. So thus, if they wanted to, they could have stopped eating of the fruit and 'returned to the earth' at any time they pleased.

"If God knew that they were going to sin why did God command them not to eat from the tree of knowledge."

Here's how I figure it; Because God wanted people who sincerely loved Him, not robots. Knowing everything, God knew how people's hearts would be if, well, we were like we are today.

It's like me knowing that someone is only my friend because I have money. Meeting me as a poor man, would they still be my friend? Probably not. Likewise, God would see how Cain, Judas, Saul and all other sinner would be if they lived in a world where they could choose to trust Him or not.

Sure, God could have let these people burned those who would in this alternate time line but God is just, and punishing those who and so He wanted to 'weed out' the ones who would stay with Him if temptation comes.

Sure, He could have just let them not exist, but not only would that have been basically the same thing, but the situation would have been different and many those who loved Him in this 'perfect' scenario would still have gone the same way as in the old. Plus, that would put humanity back in the same spot as before.

God, knowing all, probably picked this time line because it was better than the rest for a large number of reasons. Or He could still be playing all the other scenarios without us knowing. We wont find out that piece until the credits roll. ;u)

"If they hadn't sinned how long would God have allowed them to stay in the Garden of Eden before moving them to 'heaven'?"

I have no way of knowing that. Adam was first placed on the earth to take care of and to rule the earth (Gen. 1:26, 2:15) So probably either Heaven needed ruling and/or repair. Or whenever man just needed a rest. Who's to say if us humans couldn't come back when if wanted or needed to?

Maybe on the sabbath which, if I remember correctly, the Old Testament says takes place every seven days, months, and years.

Simple answer :

Most Religious people DO NOT believe we are descended from Adam an Eve .

6 Billion People on this particular planet , 1 Billion believe we are descended from Adam and Eve - how does that equal ' Most Religious People ' ?

I think 2 billion are Christians , about 1 billion of those believe we are descended from Adam an Eve.

You are living in a bubble and need to get out more often.

authentic concerning the area with the youngsters. What you do no longer understand is that Adam and Eve the place created proper . The issues you're speaking approximately recognised over the years by using fact the human DNA substitute into greater deteriorated. (in simple terms like once you employ a xerox to maintain a replica after a replica after a replica....). After the flood working example it replaced into ok genetically for a guy or woman to marry his first degree cousin, yet no longer his sister.

GRRRRR...Adam is NOT the name of a man. It does NOT mean man. It is more literal to translate it as a single celled organism that contains 'blood' (life, essence, spirit or DNA/RNA) The bible is a very poor and inacurate translation and should not be read literally. Older versions speak of 'Lilith' as being first woman, though I do not know the true meaning and she disappeared from the modern Bible. Eve was clearly described as being made from Adam's rib (living cells).Incest perhaps or Bio-Science. Life ever-after does not mean Immortality, it simply means that Man-kind is here to stay. God as spoke of in the bible is science, knowledge, understanding . God made in his image (image is in the mind, as percieved) from Adam(living cells/tissue/organism?).. Get the view; Frankenstien. 20,000 BC People were performing major head trauma surgery and perhaps cosmetic ops aswell, archeologists found the evidence to prove it, instruments are near identical to modern surgical tools; early man was far more able than ever we'd care to imagine to a point where even bone grafts were known to have taken place. Some christian groups believe we have only been here for a couple of thousand years. Footprints in Africa say 3.5 million years at least. Revelations used to be at the begining of the Bible and is in original text a description by Enoch of the lands he travelled to in his life time(a written map). I think he does not speak of God or Adam and Eve. He does describe Volcanoes as Fire and Brimstone or that's the translation anyway. Most Christians are Blissfully Ignorant and that's the way they like to stay. God Bless and happy procrastinations.

How many people could the original world have held?
In the perfect world God created before the flood, there were no deserts, no artic regions or permafrost areas, the mountains were much smaller or non-existent, the oceans were lower providing more land on the continental shelves...it was more like a tropical forest all over. Some scholars estimate that the earth could have supported many billions of people....even hundreds. Even today, with the proper management of resources, the earth, as it is now, could sustain many times the number of people we have. All the 6 billion people we have now would fit easily into the state of Texas with plenty of room for each.

There is no reason to believe that God would allow earth to become overpopulated. There is an old saying: "your arm is too short to box with God." Put another way, you are unnecessarily trying to limit or restrict what God can do.

One time, Moses could not figure out how God was going to feed meat to the 3 million or so Israelites in the wilderness. Unbelievable. Moses had seen the incredible miracles God had wrought in Egypt. Still he could not fathom how God would give the moaning, complaining Israelites the meat they wanted. So God asked Moses at Numbers 11:21-23, 31, Oh! My hand is too short, huh? We'll see!

When we read what God did, in hindsight it is so simple. Yet Moses did not even think of this method of bringing meat to the people.

My point is this: God fully intends for man to live forever in a paradise on earth. He fully intends people to have babies to populate the restored paradise. He does not intend there to be overpopulation. Now how can he deal with this? I am no genius, and my arms are too short to box with God too. But, God does not create things for nothing. He created a whole lot of planets out in space. So far the only one populated seems to be Earth. But like I said, he does not create for nothing.

So do not sell God short. He knows precisely what he is doing. And because you do not see the solution today does not mean it does not exist. Remember, your arm's too short to box with God!

Since God is able to create a universe, I believe when the earth was full, He would have created another universe to inhabit. This could have been done over and over again for eternity. We know there are other universes out there, but we can't yet reach them.. who knows? God could have created those in anticipation of allowing the people of earth to inhabit them someday. ( I believe that the resurrected will be able to explore these other universes too someday.)

Do you know of someone else that the rest of us don't know and how do you know how many people there would be? Remember you said if they had not sinned, well if there was no sin a lot of the people born would never have been born because people would not have been committing sexual immorality and having illegitimate children. Of course, poor God, the creator certainly could not create enough space for all the people. I know none of this makes sense to a genius like yourself.

I believe it because the Bible tells me so. I believe every word in the Book and I believe it was God inspired when written. If they hadn't sinned I'm sure God had plans for the population God always has a plan and we may not know it BUT He does.
