If god is so great why did he take six days to create the universe? I mean he even had rests at night and resumed work the following day. Did he get tired?

Also, why did he create light on the first day and then again a few days later? Furthermore, it appears as though he created plants before he created the sun. Doesn't god know about photosynthesis?

Somebody: Oh, don’t be such a cry baby, you hypocrite! Once again, a cursory glance at your profile reveals that you are guilty of the same thing you charge me with. The insincerity of your questioning is evident in your numerous questions regarding evolution. For instance: “Is Evolution a Religion?”

No. Evolution is not a religion. If you have problems regarding evolution, posit your questions in the Science section. Asking questions regarding evolution in R&S makes you look stupid and reeks of intellectual dishonesty. Posting science questions in a religion area exposes you as the disingenuous git you are, and demonstrates that your problem with evolution is NOT the mechanics of it, but simply because it clashes with your ideology.

Finally, you make it plainly clear you have no understanding about atheism whatsoever. Let me break it down for you: An atheist does not believe in god(s).

That.

Is.

It.

To assume that atheists have anything in common besides that is, at best stupid, and at worst, dishonest. An atheist may believe that life was placed here by alien rabbits and still be no less the atheist. Atheism and evolution do not require each other to stand. After all, not every theist is a Creationist – many intelligent, non-fundamentalist Christians accept the theory of evolution.

Yes, He knows about photosynthesis. He invented it. He created light on the first day so the plants would have light for photosynthesis. He did not create light again after that. The Sun was made on the fourth day yes, as were all the other stars. That is no small task especially since our Sun is by no means the largest star in the universe and there are trillions and trillions upon trillions of them. All in a days work.

God even signed His work to let you know it was Him in what we recognize as the laws of physics. In our own solar system two (perhaps three if you count Pluto) planets, Venus and Uranus, have a retrograde rotation as do at least nine moons. Now, if you understand the conservation of angular momentum you should know that this is no easy task. In fact, some would say impossible, except of course for God, but I digress.

Now quick, pick an atheists' answer so you can ridicule us for believing what we believe since that is why you are here. Universal Pants' answer should suit your purpose fine. Or you can pick mine as best if you wish to ridicule me directly. That seems to work for you as well.

No God did not get tired. God did not create light on the first day and a few days later. God did not create plants before he created the sun.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. This is the creation of the entire universe. Included in the heavens are the celestial bodies. Included with the celestial bodies are the moon and the sun.

Next, the account describes further creative activities on earth and the preparation of earth for human habitation. The Hebrew word bara (create) is used at Genesis 1:1. It is not the same as the Hebrew word at Genesis 1:16, which is asah. Asah means to make. Yes, these two words are very different. On the fourth day God proceeded to “make” these celestial bodies occupy a new relationship toward earth’s surface and the expanse above it. When it is said, “God put them in the expanse of the heavens to shine upon the earth,” this would indicate that they now became discernible from the surface of the earth, as though they were in the expanse. Also, the luminaries were to “serve as signs and for seasons and for days and years,” thus later providing guidance for man in various ways. Genesis 1:14.

Yes, God knows about photosynthesis. He created it. Ah, that would be "bara."

No God didn't get worn out. God didn't create gentle at the first day and a couple of days later. God didn't create crops earlier than he created the solar. In the opening God created the heavens and the earth. This is the production of the complete universe. Included within the heavens are the celestial our bodies. Included with the celestial our bodies are the moon and the solar. Next, the account describes additional inventive hobbies in the world and the practise of earth for human habitation. The Hebrew phrase bara (create) is used at Genesis one million:one million. It isn't the equal because the Hebrew phrase at Genesis one million:sixteen, that's asah. Asah way to make. Yes, those 2 phrases are very specific. On the fourth day God proceeded to “make” those celestial our bodies occupy a brand new courting towards earth’s floor and the expanse above it. When it's mentioned, “God placed them within the expanse of the heavens to polish upon the earth,” this might point out that they now grew to be discernible from the outside of the earth, as regardless that they had been within the expanse. Also, the luminaries had been to “function indicators and for seasons and for days and years,” for that reason later delivering steerage for guy in quite a lot of methods. Genesis one million:14. Yes, God is aware of approximately photosynthesis. He created it. Ah, that might be "bara." Hannah J Paul

Only young Earth Christians believe the days were 24 hour days Jews believe it was several long periods of time. Anyway did you ever hear of something called time dilation. A day is not the same amount of time everywhere. And light was created on the first day it was revealed on later when the light was seperated from darkness. The universe was of course expanding while it was being created by God.

The bible creation myth is quite ridiculous.
Most christians don't even read it before they try to defend it.
