i ask this due to this article:

"The American Family Association (AFA) has already targeted two major retailers, saying their holiday catalogs didn't include enough references to Christmas.

Petsmart has come under fire because while there are 252 references to "holiday" items, only 43 of those products contain the word "Christmas". Worse yet, when you look at the "Christmas" tagged merchandise, it's the same stuff that appears under "holiday". Oh, the inhumanity of it all. Home improvment giant Lowe's committed a major faux pas in the eyes of the AFA, because a printing error caused the chain's Christmas trees to be listed in a catalog as "family trees". You can imagine how well this went over. Lowe's jumped in with some quick damage control, however, and notified the AFA that they are "proudly committed to selling Christmas trees this year".

Anyone with half a brain knows that there are a lot of people out there who aren't Christians. When are people going to learn that it is not culturally sensitive to randomly spew "Merry Christmas" to everyone ?

To begin with I'm not a perfect muslim, I'm many down sides and its a struggle for me to keep my salah on time and watch my tongue.
But I always get this good feeling, when I think that someday I might be lucky enough to meet Prophet Muhammad(saw) and his companions.....
will we be able to chitchat with them and ask them about the stories we read about them.
Imagine, meeting with Asmaa..Aisha..Sumayaa bint yasir...Mus'ab bin umayr,,abu hurairah,,,Amaar,,the great khalifs.. what would you ask?

Do you take daily horoscopes seriously? i myself do not. I think such things are foolish. I find it interesting that some who criticize people for worshiping Jesus Christ will be more inclined to follow some superstition such as the horoscope. Why is this?

Including me, my husband and our daughter we had 9 for Thanksgiving. We had invited my husband's Aunt Nancy who declined to attend as she had already made a commitment elewhere. After we all ate the Thanksgiving meal and cleaned the kitchen everyone in the house laid down for a nap.

Next thing I know the doorbell is ringing repeately. I got up and answered the door and lo and behold it is Aunt Nancy bearing a pound cake. I invited her in and apologized for not answering the door sooner but told her "we were not expecting anyone and we were all napping". This went right over her head and she asked would I show her around our new home! I told her this was not a good time "as we are all napping" (hint, hint). She looked dazed and surprised but caught on this time and left. Aunt Nancy is in her 80s - are old people exempt from exercising manners? Whatever happended to calling first and asking if it is a good time to "drop in"?

Every holiday and family event, my sister and I prepare a HUGE meal for about 25 people. What can we do about other members of our immediate family that attend every year, sit down and expect to be waited on, then leave first taking home several meals worth of leftovers? Some will bring a dish to pass, but still sit on their behinds the whole time while my sister and I bust a** to pick up after everyone and do the clean up. They don't monitor their pre-teen children who are sure to be first in line for food and take several servings of dishes on their first time through the line as my sister and I cringe worrying there won't be enough of the favored dishes to go around, only for those children to leave mega portions of untouched food on their plate laying around the house for us to dispose of later. While my sister and I are finally eating, they announce that they have to leave and they fill up a pan of leftovers sufficient to feed their family several meals... what to do?

If there was proof that under the orders of the Roman King Constantine,, the leader or "1st Pope" decided what gossples were to be included or Excluded. Then edited them to put the church between the people and God and to put men in power over women. If there was historical proof of this ,,how would it effect what you believe. Would you think the devil was behind the whole thing

This was a delivery of a fairly large bouquet of flowers in a glass vase. We were not at home when the florist delieved so they left it with our neighbor. I called the neighbor at work and she said she would have her daughter bring it by who was running erands in her car (senior in high school). Now understand, this is a weird neighbor because she is a real estate agent with her smiling face on a couple of billboards around town. She's been in the paper and so she fancies herself somewhat of a public figure. But she is snotty, rude, won't return voice mails or emails, will hold up her hand and walk away from you if you try to speak to her in public, and this is unfortunately who the leadership of our 10-unit condo assn. fell to. I think her daughter was snubbing us by not at least waiting to HAND the flowers to us. She placed it so close to the outward swinging storm door, we couldn't open the door and had to walk around the block to retrieve the flowers. Was that rude?

I know she is in her sixties, but I have repeatedly shown her how to use it, she don't wanna know. She is a total techno - phobe. How can I help her get into the digital age...I feel she would benefit, write me emails, text me, and so on. Does anyone have this issue, or are you an older person who struggles with digital things? I also bought her a dvd player which she finds really hard to use - so she does'nt. I have written her a guide how to use them...she forgets where she puts them. What will happen when the digital switch over happens? Will I have to buy her a new all in one tv? Any sensible advice would be great thank you!

Last night someone asked the question, "What are you good at making?" I thought I would be a little funny, and my answer was, "Love to my wife."

When I checked my email this morning, I found that someone reported me, yahoo removed my answer, and I lost 11 points. I have read both questions and answers that are by far a lot more lewd and adult than what I said, without they getting censored. I think this was ticky tacky and downright nit picky. What do you think?
