Also if you are left-handed are you automatically left footed or can you be left handed but right footed?

In this world, most of the products are geared for right-handed people, so using most products would be a problem. Then there is the inconvenience of knocking elbows when sitting at a school desk or at dining tables. Even teaching a left-handed child can be a difficult task, especially if the parent is not left-handed. A child can become quite frustrated when attempting to imitate a parent or sibling who is not left-handed and may even give up on the task all together!!!

Wow, there are some really good ones on here. Right-handed desks and scissors are definitely a pain for us lefties.

One thing that used to bug the hell out of me was, whenever I would write with a pencil, I would always get this silvery smudge all over the side of my left hand, which I guess would rub against the paper. Being left handed, my hand was following the pencil across the page instead of leading it, hence, were I right handed, I wouldn't have this problem.

Still, eating next to a rightie (especially at a crowded table) has to be the most annoying inconvenience we lefties face.

Also, I don't know if it can be otherwise or not, but I am definitely left-handed and "left-footed".

Fortunately I'm bi-(dextrous), so I can switch hands more readily, and yes, those right-handed swing out desktops are annoying, as are the scissors and computer keyboard (numbers would be WAY more efficient on the left side, even for righties), but you are really taking your life in your hands with power tools, esp. chain saws.

I would think that footedness follows handedness since below the neck, nerve tracks for conscious control of the body have crossed over from the side thatbbthey originate in in the brain. But I'm sure there are some cases of compensation where the opposite is true.

The most annoying inconvenience is dealing with arrogant right-handed people.

I read a recent report that suggested that statistical information indicates that left handed people tend to die yonger than right handed people. Egads!!!!
But realistically, scissors are a pain and always having to hold a page facing inward so the writing is straight is the next biggest irritation for me. Also, being a leftie is a nuisance when trying to cover the inside of the court in doubles tennis. You have to rely a lot more upon your backhand stroke, rarely a good idea in my case!
Never given the feet much thought.

Well, I'm right handed, but I think the biggest inconvenience would be the desks at most schools that are connected to the chairs. The arm/ elbow rest thingy is on the right side.

well I'm not LEFT HANDED... But I think the most annoying thing is that LEFT HANDED PEOPLE die 7 to 9 years sooner... on average than a RIGHT HANDED PERSON. That for me - is in a whole new class of ANNOYING then smudge ink or uncomfortable scissors!

I do different tasks with different hands. For me, SCISSORS are the big deal! Trying to cut with right-handed scissors is a royal pain - they don't fit. This was especially true when I did a lot of sewing. I finally ended up paying about twice the normal price for a pair of Gingher shears. They cost $12.50 back around 35 years ago - that was when my rent was only $125 a month, so you can see what the scissors cost relative to that!!

Personally its the fact that righty's think there better than us and they dont need to make left handed items. It's not like we chose to be left handed we just are. Like at school they only have right handed desks and it really bothers me. Also almost everytime you write with a pencil you get it on her hand because your hand rubs across it. Then theres sitting at the dinner table with a righty on the left of you.

I would think the worst inconvenience would be if you had to sit at a desk (pupil type) and the place where you write is made for right handed people.
