"God doesn't exist" is often the correct answer to questions here. If Christians are reporting it as offensive, I certainly hope that Yahoo is simply ignoring them. You can't have a question-and-answer site and then delete the correct answers.
If a Christian reports a post simply for pointing out that God doesn't exist, that Christian is abusing the reporting system, and if he or she does it regularly, should eventually be banned.

Good question. It is just as valid as those who say he/she/it does exist. When that is said, I don't hit the thumbs down or abuse button or even think to do it. However, there are many in here who immediately give us the old thumbs down or abuse button the instant they see it. Personally, I think it is telling. They don't want to hear what many know to be the truth. God is Imaginary and they cannot prove otherwise.

Most everything you can say is offensive somewhere.
Religion and politics are the biggest friendship killing subjects on the planet. In society, some groups are targeted for ridicule. Your group may or may not be the flavor of the month.

the answer is simple--You don't need to preface your questions w/ "God does not exist" just as Christians don't (usually) preface ours w/ "God DOES exist". Just ask the question sincerely. But you already know that.

It is not offensive to me. What offends me is being called an idiot, a moron, immoral, and other similar names.
I am also offended when I am told that I deserve nothing but ridicule and that I am not worthy of respect.
A few athesists have said such things.

Is saying that "God doesn't exist" a question? Still believe as you wish.. But is you want to ask a religious person a question about it it might be nice if you would start with.. "If God exists ...? Can you see the difference? IHS Jim

'god doesn't exist' and 'I don't believe in god' are not the same thing!
saying 'god does not exist' is an affirmative statement and thus requires qualification. You would have to prove it.
saying 'i do not believe in god' says nothing about the existence or not of god and thus doesn't require a proof.
I can't image people truly being offended at hearing someone say that there is no god. I know I am not offended when some says there is one.

People so easily offended need to find somewhere other than Yahoo answers to post. I'm Christian and believe that if I limit others rights of belief mine are in danger as well.

Free speech - you are entitled to say all you want that God does not exist. However, I am also entitled to tell you that you'd better be right because that's a pretty risky assumption to make and be wrong.
(EDIT)
I'm a bit confused here with all the thumbs down. I agree with his right to free speech, but shouldn't a Christian have the same right?

You have no cross as your avatar.
Worse yet, you are a thinker. That will mark you for sure.
Every once in a while dumb down a question for them so the fundies don't feel so put upon.
