I know it might be a stupid question but I was just reading up some forums and wonderin about that.

I was born in the "North" and relocated to Southeastern Virginia when I was about 2 years old. And I grew up in Virgnia. But now I just moved to the NORTH again. Would I be considered Southern? I kind of have a little southern accent, but no one really notices.

If you truly are Born Again then the Holy Spirit (who is God) is living in you. Do you have any idea of the power that is in you?

Has Western Christianity been interpreted incorrectly?
It's just a thought so don't leave me a bunch of hateful answers. Maybe somebody knows the fundamental beliefs of the Muslim religion and can explain it to me. I hear a lot of negative stuff on YA.
Isn't it ironic that some American Christians try to spread their faith to the Far East, when most of the Bible was written in the 'Holy Land?'

I do not mean spirituality, which I consider different from, and arguably supplemental to luck.
STORY PROBLEM: I have experienced extended periods of time (years) during which I had unusually good luck.

I have experienced longer periods when luck was unremarkable: generaly neither good nor bad.

More recently, for the last 8 years, I have experienced broad personal misfortune (loss of friends, pets, career, etc.). Most anything that could go wrong, has gone wrong.

QUESTION: Does anyone have a proven technique that challenges, forces, or effects a real change of luck?

In my dream there was about a 13 to 15 foot tall door. It was made out of wood like a light brown. The wood outlined the door and around the outlines it came out and made a pointed half circle. In between where there was no would it was blue amd red and purple. With little silver stars and it was sparkley. There was threeteen of those doors throughout the place. 12 of them were closed and 1 was opened. What does it mean?

It amazes me how people will go into debt buying gifts. What's the purpose ? Your credit gets ruined if you fail to pay on time or end up getting laid off or whatever. The day after christmas everthing you spent boo koo bucks on just went 50% to 80% offf ! I find all this gift buying for the retailer not the consumer. Its obsurd. The best gifts of all are the ones from the heart. Look at what it has done all over the world...the children that feel left out because they dont have a gift under a tree if they have a tree at all on christmas morning. This Holiday as we created it in tradition has created heavy hearts. Is that what Christmas is supposed to be ???????

We consider ourselves true Christians but we do not observe Christmas for it is not part of our customs and beliefs.

I am a teacher and I drew the principal's name. We give a small gift each day for four days(just a couple of bucks...like candy and such) and then we give a $10-$20 gift on the evening of our Christmas party. My boss is very wealthy...she will tell anyone that "camping to her is staying in a four star hotel"...that is a direct quote. I have the small gifts covered...but I am having serious trouble thinking of the "big" gift.

Also if you give gifts to your children on Christmas, why? Is it because that other people's children are getting gifts and you don't want them to feel left out? What reason do you have for giving a gift on a holiday? Why can't you give a gift to someone because you appreciate them and/or because they are good children?

that says we should be "in the world but not of it?"

I thought I knew the bible, but somebody is telling me that this is from scripture verbatim. If I am wrong, I am ready to eat humble pie, but I don't think this phrase is found in the bible verbatim.

Am I wrong?
