If I was born in North and moved to the South when I was just a baby, would I be Northern or Southern?

I know it might be a stupid question but I was just reading up some forums and wonderin about that.

I was born in the "North" and relocated to Southeastern Virginia when I was about 2 years old. And I grew up in Virgnia. But now I just moved to the NORTH again. Would I be considered Southern? I kind of have a little southern accent, but no one really notices.

Well, being southern is not just living in the south...it involves manners, grace, attitude, etc. so since you were raised as a southern even though you were a born Northerner, we can call you a transplant Southerner....

Unfortunately dear, you are a Yankee. But there is a certain group of Yankees and Mid-Western women who sometimes make it into one of the outer inner circles of Southern society. Never that inner circle, but occasionally to the three or four surrounding it. (Hope that makes sense.) But as a proud Southern woman, I am so glad you want to be Southern!
