Hi. For Christmas, I have a budget of 100 dollars, but I would like to spend less than 10 dollars on each present I give. I plan on making more money, but here are the people I want to give presents to:

A)My 2 best friends.
B)little gifts for other friends (cheaper than 2 bucks)
C)dad ( i am buying something for my mom already)
D)my sisters: one is 8, one is 6, and the other one is 2. the older ones dont like prncesses stuff but the 2 year old loves Dora the Explorer.
E)and maybe something small for my teachers and other "sorta" friends.

Please give an idea for each i'd love it!
Really easy ten points!

It can not be both. Jesus is not the "Holy Scriptures"
The "Holy Scriptures" are not part of the God head.

I suppose the first reason would be that it flies in the face of Creationists' belief that the earth is only 6000 years old. But is there a, you know, valid reason? Because the scientific evidence for a 4.6-billion-year-old earth is pretty overwhelming.

I've found a really great link that explains some of this stuff too. Especially interesting is the second part, "Geology and the Age of the Earth":

Some of my husband's family is coming to visit this Christmas. Our nephews and their parents are VERY messy. They bring out toys and don't put them away, they never make their bed, they don't put thier dishes in the dishwasher. I have to cook and clean up after my own children and family. I can't keep up with both. They just clutter every room and I try so hard to keep my house nice. The rest of the family that is visiting do just fine as houseguests.

And they do this at their house too. There, they have piles of food and laundry everywhere, it smells, and it has cockroaches everywhere. But they are very nice and are family. How can I get them to be neater while their here and get their kids to clean up after themselves without seeming like a rude hostess?

I asked a question about the specifics of Messianic Judaism the other day and received alot of posts from Jews who were upset about this concept because it wasnt true Judaism. My question is, do Jews within their own groups (like Christianity) have a war of words as far as doctrine goes? Hasidic Jews, Reformed Jews, Orthodox Jews, etc?

My aunt is in the process of dying due to an extremely low blood count and will not accept a blood transfusion. My mom asked the elder at the church if she pulls through this, in the future, can she bank her own blood for a possible future time. The elder responded that is against scripture. I know the scriptures used in support of non taking transfusions, but why not allow your own blood back in your body? No bashing JWs, pleaseThanks :)

( and I don't mean just 10 years ago) who are your favorite old time stars, male and female? Do you ever watch Turner Classic Movies, and do you think any of the young actors these days shine as brightly as the stars of yesteryear?

Joseph Smith, the founder of the Mormon church, had over 20 wives. One of them was 14 when he married her. In the 1840's,the average age of first menstruation was 16.5, making it likely she was prepubescent. Additionally, Utah currently allows marriage at 14 because if it raised the age, they'd be admitting the great founder of their church was was a pedophile. Comments?

He said: If they dig down into the ground he would bring them up. Did they have large mineing caves in those days?
or when he said: If they go up into the heavens there I will bring them down.
No one could go up into the heavens in those days?
Amos 9:3 If they conceal themselves on the bottom of the sea? Before this time could they even go down to the floor of the sea and if they did how could they have survived before submarines?
9:6 He who is building in the heavens with his stairs and his structure over the earth that he founded. he who is calling for the waters of the sea, that he may pour them out upon the surface of the earth. Tidal waves ?
Was he talking about a means of climbing into the heavens by the stairs? Isn't there something about a Jacob's ladder?
Reaching into heaven??

The last of the New Testament books were not written until nearly 100, and the books of the New Testament were not definitively chosen until the Synod of Hippo in AD 393. Thus, Bible-only Christianity could not have existed during the four centuries after the birth of Christ, right? As a further problem, a very small percentage of people were literate then.

Could Christianity have been passed on by oral traditions without a Bible?
