Do you pray, or engage in an activity similar to prayer? When you connect to your deity/deities, what does that feel like?

I am an American who has done alot of international traveling. I notice one thing for sure in every single country I have visited and lived in; White ppl from all over have a very arrogant ethnocentric attitude.
In the USA its obvious to any American, all over Africa Europeans demand 1st class status, and have forcibly put the native ppl in a 2nd class, in Australia the aborigines have been displaced, and are in a constant struggle for simple human rights on their own land. I currently live in the UAE, and I always hear white europeans say things like, 'the natives need to change their culture', and that "we (the europeans) need to be given citizenship", and all the benefits that come with it but have no respect for the ppl of this country and their way of life, and are not shy about saying it. I find it quite perplexing and crazy. Is this something that is taught from generation to generation, or is it just how you think? Please do not respond out of emotion, I really want to know

I am very much a christian and follow the lord. However my husband does not. He has lied to me many times and even shoved my bible at me strikeing me in the chest and called me a skank. He does not live like a christian man and goes to church and acting like he does. The pastor called him out one night saying the reason his home is the way it is is because of the way he is living. My husband after that said he would be a better husband it lst a day and he is right back to being cold and hurful. I have not slept next to him for the past month and all I hear from him is your not being a wife because I do not sleep in the same bed. How can I we have been married two months ande I found out while we where dateing he was emailing woman asking to see them in thongs and while we where ingaged he was looking up sex sights. He is up and down am I wrong for pulling away and sleeping on the couch because his behavior is not the way of the lord?

It is amazing; they come up with their dogma first then try to justify it against the Bible whereas Christians get their dogma from the Bible.

My dad was reared Catholic and his parents freaked out on him when he bought a Bible; and it was a Catholic Bible!

You know how in Rudolph it's like, had a very shiny nose, Like a light bulb! With all those little things added. Well at the very end what do you say?
He'll go down in history, _______________!
See I always said, Like George Washington! But my boyfriend learned when he was little, Like a light bulb, burnt out!
I thought it was funny, I've never heard it! so what does everyone else say?

There seems to be a great deal of misunderstanding, or even downright ignorance, of what the word "theory" means when scientists talk about the Theory of Evolution. It might explain why so many Christians are so unjustifiably dismissive of evolution when they describe it as "just a theory". As someone much wiser than myself once put it, "Words mean things"; and before we can have any meaningful discussion, we must first make sure we're speaking the same language.

So, how about it? Are you up to snuff on your basic scientific terminology?

Three men were discussing aging at the nursing home.

"Sixty is the worst age to be," said the 60-year-old. You always feel like you have to pee. And most of the time, you stand at the toilet and nothing comes out!"

"Ah, that's nothin'," said the 70-year-old. "When you're seventy, you can't even crap anymore. You take laxatives, eat bran, you sit on the toilet all day and nothin' comes out!"

"Actually," said the 80-year-old, "Eighty is the worst age of all."

"Do you have trouble peeing too?" asked the 60-year- old.

"No, not really. I pee every morning at 6:00. I pee like a racehorse on a flat rock; no problem at all."

"Do you have trouble crapping?" "No, I crap every morning at 6:30."

With great exasperation, the 60-year-old said, "Let me get this straight. You pee every morning at 6:00 and crap every morning at 6:30. So what's so tough about being 80?"

"I don't wake up until 7:00."

In the 1960s, there was a movement afoot with people saying "God is dead."
Would you believe that Satan is dead?
The Book of Revelations tells us that Satan is to be hurled into the lake of fire and killed.
Would you believe that that has occurred? How would you know it has occurred?
If a prophet told you that there has been an upheaval on the dark side and nothing there is the same, would you believe it?

if you discount the reliability of carbon dating (as you must do for creationist positions to make any sense at all) then the only real objection to the turin shroud disappears.

if creation science prove anything at all, it proves that the turin shroud is genuine, and that the roman catholic church is the one true church.

http://www.shroud.com/homespan.htm

so why aren't all creation scientists roman catholics? (apart from the fact that the catholic church won't admit them that is).

it wouldn't be because they are too confused / insincere / dishonest to work out the full implication of their own position - would it?
