i think people that claiim they belive in the bible and jesus will get abortions... but it definatly is a sin and its wrong. the bible shows that a baby in the womb is just as important as a grown person.
Exodus 20:13;“You must not murder
exodus 21:22 “And in case men should struggle with each other and they really hurt a pregnant woman and her children do come out but no fatal accident occurs, he is to have damages imposed upon him without fail according to what the owner of the woman may lay upon him; and he must give it through the justices. 23 But if a fatal accident should occur, then you must give soul for soul,
^if a man kills a baby in the womb he should have to give his soul as well because he is equal to the unborn child.
Psalm 139:14-16)
14 I shall laud you because in a fear-inspiring way I am wonderfully made.
Your works are wonderful,
As my soul is very well aware.
15 My bones were not hidden from you
When I was made in secret,
When I was woven in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw even the embryo of me,
And in your book all its parts were down in writing,
As regards the days when they were formed
And there was not yet one among them.
a baby is a very real thing.. he think feels and breaths just like you. please dont! even if you cant take care of a child put it up for adoption. i know people that are desprately trying to adopt a baby and cant get one. please!

You could write a novel on the answer to this question. However, I believe that the general answer to your general question is yes, some Christian believe that it is acceptable for a woman to have an abortion. Some believe that it is OK if the mother's life is in danger, some believe it is OK until a certain point of the pregnancy and some believe that it is always the mother's choice. As for me, I believe that the murder of an innocent human being is always wrong. Children are a blessing from God.

As a christian myself I would never condone abortion, life is life and that begins at conception in God's eyes. My cousin who is also a Christian claims to hate abortion yet has the coil, which is designed to stop the implantation of the fertilised egg and is viewed as an abortion method (although done in the very early days) by some.

Abortion is MURDER in God's Eyes !! Numbers 5:11-31 tells of Old Testiment adultery test, not of abortion.. Pro-choice is pro-abortion...It is how some people live with their conscience in this debate saying " Gosh...I'm not in favor of abortion but I am in favor of pro-choice(which if the woman wants to after knowing of the conception may abort the child...kill is the better word for it)" HOGWASH !!! Life is life no matter what "stage "the baby is in....The miracle of life has happened and if you decide to abort it, then you have just murdered your own child...no matter the circumstance.. it is still half of you...God Bless You...He Loves You

I am Christian and I am pro-life/anti-abortion for the most part. There are rare circumstances when I think abortion is ok.
However, I disagree with big government. Mandating abortion (with the exception of late term abortions) is a slippery slope, one which the goverment has no right to be mandating.

Abortion is very dangerous as far as your ability to reproduce in the future, it IS murder and its the way out for the cowardly woman. It's also prone to create psyciatric breakdowns in women who do not get the therapy they need to go with it.
However, I don't believe the government has the right to tell you whether you can or not. Us non-christians don't have to rely on the government to instill morals in our children or a system of support and communication that they can trust.

A Christian who believes in abortion is an Oxy-moron it is like saying "fried Ice"
Many people will refuse to accept God's word as a standard by which they should live and make decisions. That is their right to reject it. Nevertheless, I offer the following as reasons for not having abortions.
What is growing in the womb of the woman is alive.
Even one-celled creatures are alive.
What is growing in the woman is more than a one-celled creature.
The nature of the life in the woman is human.
It is the product of human DNA; therefore, its nature, its essence, is undeniably human.
Because it is human in nature, if left to live, it will result in a fully developed human baby.
Humans are humans not because they have feet, hands, walk vertically, and speak, etc. Not all people have feet, hands, can walk, and speak. They are humans because of their nature, their essence, not because of physical abilities or disabilities.
A person born without arms and legs is still human.
A person who cannot speak is still human.
A person in a coma, helpless, unaware, unmoving, is still human by nature and it is wrong to murder such a person.
What is growing in the womb does not have the nature of an animal, a bird, or a fish. It has human nature.
If it is not human in nature, then what nature is it?
If it is not human in nature, then does it have a different nature than human?
If so, then from where did it get this different nature since the only sources of its nature are human egg and and human sperm?
Objection: A cell in the body has human DNA and is alive and it is okay to kill it. So, it doesn't make any difference with a fetus.
Though it is true that a cell in the human body has DNA and is alive, a cell (muscle cell, skin cell, etc.) has the nature of being only what it is -- not a human. In other words, a muscle cell is by nature a muscle cell. A skin cell is by nature a skin cell. But, the fertilized egg of a human is by nature that very thing which becomes a fully developed human. Its nature is different than that of muscle or skin cells because these do not grow into humans. Therefore, a human cell and a human egg are not the same thing.
A fertilized human egg has the nature of human development and it is alive. This is not so with a muscle or skin cell.
To abort the life, which is human in nature, is to kill that which is human in nature.
Therefore, abortion is killing a life which is human by nature.
Where, then, does the mother get the right to kill the human within her?
A question for those who believe in abortion and that the life in the womb is not human. Is it okay to take a fertilized egg between a man and a woman and place it in the womb of a dog?
If you say no, then why? If it is not human then it doesn't matter, right?
If you say no because it will become a human then you admit that it has human nature and is alive. If it is human in nature and alive, then you do not have the right to abort it.
If you say it is alright, why is it okay?

This is a difficult question to ask here as its open to all people rather than the Christian group alone.
I personally am against abortion as a Christian and all other Christians I know are too.
Why Kill someone who has done nothing to you. You were given the chance to live. . .so should they!
It maybe sensible though to go to http://www.ucb.com or http://www.ucb.co.uk and ask there as they will be able to give you a more in depth answer and discuss further with you rather than open message boards.
Hope this helps?

Life is defined as" the quality that distinguishes a vital and functional being from a dead body". Therefore unless a fetus has the qualities of a dead body (which I doubt) it's a living human being/person. Murder is defined as "the crime of unlawfully killing a person especially with malice aforethought." The only thing that keeps abortion from being murder (by definition) is that it's lawful. I wouldnt try something that close to being murder. I think it's murder in the eyes of God.

It's not a question of what Christians believe. Murder is wilful, needless killing of another human. Abortion is wilful, needless killing of another human, though of course some abortions are medically necessary.
