Then Why should all men be created equal? now it's man that can rule on equality and morality?
Martin Luther King knew that Racism was wrong because of his biblical beliefs-I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: 'We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal in GOD's eyes.
If GOD was not involved in equality- Why should ALL MEN BE CREATED EQUAL?

A young woman's charm is her capital. She must invest it wisely rather than squander it.

This requires that she make marriage and family her primary focus. Otherwise her romantic and maternal instincts will be frustrated, and she will be alone and unhappy.

A young woman's beauty reflects her physical and spiritual innocence. Men find innocence very attractive; it balances them emotionally and spiritually. A woman who is hard and cynical is not attractive to men.

A young woman must consecrate her innocence for the man whom she will eventually love and marry. Her thoughts should be focused on him and on her future children. She should prepare herself to be worthy to become a wife and mother.

The Orthodox Church is an Eastern Church in the sense that, at least humanly speaking, it is the product of Middle Eastern, Hellenic and Slavic history and culture. In a word, the Orthodox Church has a historical and spiritual development worked out in almost total isolation from the Christian Churches of Western Europe and America, namely the Roman Catholics and the Reformed Protestant Churches

The formal break between the Christian East and West cannot be easily pinpointed. It may be put formally in the 11th or 12th centuries. However from as early as the 4th century the Christians of the East were already living with very little contact with the Christians of the West.

The liturgy of the Orthodox Church as celebrated today developed within those centuries when the East was already in a certain isolation from the West. The liturgy stands at the center of the church's life and bears witness to the central experience of the Orthodox Faith, namely that man is created for communion with God in the everlasting life of His Kingdom.

I've been going to a church in my old home-town for many years now, and this week I told someone that I was gonna start going to another one, but didn't state to them why. And there is a reason why I didn't tell them, because I didn't want to hurt their feelings. But for a long while now, I have felt shunned by my peers: I would more often than not be left out of gatherings or other outside events, I would be ignored by people my own age, and I would sometimes be criticized for my actions, regardless of whether I knew better or not. One person in particular bullied me at school, which is hypocritical. As a youth of the church, I try to volunteer to speak/act/whatever for youth services, but always end up being forgotten about or told I'm not suitable for the task. For these reasons, and more, I've decided to move to another church. But some people aren't happy with me about it either. Have I made the right choice to leave, or am I unintentionally seeking attention?

The world today is full of hypocrites and liars. I am used to atheists and other heathens and ungodly people acting in such ways, but what do you think of these people who act such ways and claim to be christians? I see them every day both on R&S and in real life, and it is obvious that they are not serving God, but rather Satan. Their liberal agenda does not fit with the Bible, which they try to twist to justify their lifestyle and the women run rampant trying to lead men astray.

What do you make of all this? How do you treat such hypocritical Christians?

Many protestants try to disprove the papacy by saying Peter was never in Rome.

Now, I like a good argument, but it has to be based on facts. Trying to say that Peter didnt go to Rome is just ridiculous, and flies in the face of history.

Tertullian, in "The Demurrer Against the Heretics" (A.D. 200), Ignatius of Antioch, in his "Letter to the Romans" (A.D. 110), Irenaeus, in his "Against Heresies" (A.D. 190), and Lactantius, in his "The Death of the Persecutors" (A.D. 318) all write about Peter being in Rome.

Clement of Alexandria wrote at the turn of the third century. A fragment of his work Sketches is preserved in Eusebius of Caesarea’s Ecclesiastical History, the first history of the Church. Clement wrote, “When Peter preached the word publicly at Rome, and declared the gospel by the Spirit, many who were present requested that Mark, who had been for a long time his follower and who remembered his sayings, should write down what had been proclaimed".

There is an overwhelming use of the number three in the Gospel (pointing of course to the "Trinity"), particularly in the events and story of the crucifixion and Resurrection of Jesus. Can anybody add to those mentioned below? (Also, I imagine there are many that can be found hidden in the OT...feel free to mention these as well!)...

We can get a group of 100 randomly selected people, and have them write stories about their day to day lives, then have it all justified by an imaginary being, and a homeless guy who travels around the desert in search of food and water. I'm sure they will be pretty amazed when they will read it. I'm sure they will accept it as truth just like people accept the bible as truth.

Rewording this.

Mormons teach that God was once a man on another planet. That He served His god so well that He was elevated to godhood. However the book of Numbers clearly states that God is not a man. The verse below clearly says God is not a man. It also says He is not the son of man. If He had been a man on another planet then He would be a son of man. So why do mormons claim God was a man in contradiction of what the Bible teaches?

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

Once upon a time there was this girl who had four boyfriends.

She loved the 4th boyfriend the most and adored him with rich robes and
treated him to the finest of delicacies. She gave him nothing but the
best.

She also loved the 3rd boyfriend very much and was always showing him
off to neighboring kingdoms. However, she feared that one day he would
leave her for another.

She also loved her 2nd boyfriend. He was her confidant and was always
kind, considerate and patient with her. Whenever this girl faced a
problem, she could confide in him, and he would help her get through
the
difficult times.

The girls 1st boyfriend was a very loyal partner and had made great
contributions in maintaining her wealth and kingdom. However, she did
not love the first boyfriend. Although he loved her deeply, she hardly
took notice of him!

One day, the girl fell ill and she knew her time was short. She thought
of her luxurious life and wondered, I now have four boyfriends with
me, but when I die, I'll be all alone."

Thus, she asked the 4th boyfriend, "I loved you the most, endowed you
with the finest clothing and showered great care over you. Now that I'm
dying, will you follow me and keep me company?"

"No way!", replied the 4th boyfriend, and he walked away without
another
word.

His answer cut like a sharp knife right into her heart.

The sad girl then asked the 3rd boyfriend, "I loved you all my life.
Now that I'm dying, will you follow me and keep me company?"

"No!", replied the 3rd boyfriend. "Life is too good! When you die, I'm
going to marry someone else!"

Her heart sank and turned cold.

She then asked the 2nd boyfriend, "I have always turned to you for help
and you've always been there for me.

When I die, will you follow me and keep me company?"

"I'm sorry, I can't help you out this time!", replied the 2nd
boyfriend.
"At the very most, I can only walk with you to your grave."

His answer struck her like a bolt of lightning, and the girl was
devastated.

Then a voice called out: "I'll go with you. I'll follow you no matter
where you go."
The girl looked up, and there was her first boyfriend. He was very
skinny as he suffered from malnutrition and neglect.

Greatly grieved, the girl said, "I should have taken much better care
of
you when I had the chance!"

In truth, you have 4 boyfriends in your lives:

Your 4th boyfriend is your body. No matter how much time and effort you
lavish in making it look good, it will leave you when you die.

Your 3rd boyfriend is your possessions, status and wealth. When you
die,
it will all go to others.

Your 2nd boyfriend is your family and friends. No matter how much they
have been there for you, the furthest they can stay by you is up to the
grave.

And your 1st boyfriend is your Soul. Often neglected in pursuit of
wealth, power and pleasures of the world.

However, your Soul is the only thing that will follow you where ever
you
go. Cultivate, strengthen and cherish it now, for it is the only part
of
you that will follow you to the throne of God and continue with you
throughout Eternity.

I though sin was sin was sin. It doesn't matter the degree, the bible states:

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." -- James 2:10

Doesn't God, not man, determine what is sin and He will determine the proper method of reconciliation with Him?
