The good thing about not being religious is that I'm free to live life by my own idea of right or wrong, without worry of displeasing some spooky, moody, father figure.

I am not constantly trying to determine the will of a deity that doesn't exist, because I was told that he had a special purpose for my life. As a result I will never be led into trouble by people who claim to understand the will of God and use people accordingly.

you will never kill another person over who's god is the true god. Well that and instead of being in church and just listening to what you should be doing you can actually use that time to make a difference in others lives.

That i'am truly free to do whatever i want, nor have to limit myself to rules to a book that anyone could have wroten in it or waste my good sunday on church. I could smoke, drink, party, have sex whenever i feel like it. Besides, goodness comes from within, not by some book that rules over you.

Since my mother threatens to kill herself every time I bring up not going to church or admitting to anyone there I don't believe I'm pretty much in hell.

I guess the best part would be the times I get to threaten her with it back.
