Leviticus. 11:5 "And the coney* (*rabbit), because he cheweth the cud,..."
The Bible teaches that rabbits really chew the cud. Do we have to teach our kids in Christian American public schools that rabbits chew the cud?

Im not sure how many of you will see these notes.
Dewcoons, I was aware of an apology about the rabbit chewing the cud, but I didn't know it came from an institution for the Integraton of Faith and Science. Now I know. Good informative answer!
Th prophet Ezekiel was ordered by God Almighty to chew the cud in like manner!

And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.
When it comes to men chewing the cud nobody beats God at giving you recipes!

rabbits do chew the cud its just that their cud comes out the other end.

Rabbits are herbivores who feed by grazing on grass, forbs, and leafy weeds. In addition, their diet contains large amounts of cellulose, which is hard to digest. Rabbits solve this problem by passing two distinctive types of feces: hard droppings and soft black viscous pellets, the latter of which are immediately eaten. Rabbits reingest their own droppings (rather than chewing the cud as do cows and many other herbivores) in order to fully digest their food and extract sufficient nutrients.
That said,there you kids teach them whatever you want.
