In response to say_no_2_religion's idea, I thought I would do a compare and contrast between the postitions of Christians and Atheists on the subject Buddhists and Buddhism. So without further ado...

How do Christians feel towards Buddhists?

some times it can be kind of kinky. So what comes first love or
you ego? MY definition of love is when you care more about the other person then yourself. I think you should be willing to do anything any time. Naturally my wife does not agree.

i say they dont give ppl a monthly child benefit payout in the usa like they do in the uk but my mate said im wrong. i do think up to a certain age that children rec medi care which allows them medical/dentist treatment but tell me if im wrong. Basically in the uk no matter how rich you are if you ahve a child you will rec child benefits...im guessing that if your rich in the usa you wont care about gettign benefits but what about the poorer ppl?

or is it rationalization?

Here's an example:
When I recently asked for an example of something that the Bible says that the most knowledgable people of the day couldn't have possibly known? An answer I received was Isaiah 40:22 "The earth is round".

First of all, it's a mistranslation. What it actually says is "The earth is a circle". A "circle" is a flat circular thing, like a plate, not like a ball. If the Bible really meant the latter, it could have easily said "The earth is like an orange" to avoid the ambiguity.

Second of all, I have been informed that a more accurate interpretation of the word "circle" is the comparison of the sky to a snow globe, not the shape of the earth itself.

And finally, anyone that has been in a ship at sea or in the desert knows that the horizon (which appears to be equally distant in all directions) makes the shape of the earth seem circular.

So Isaiah 40:22 is hardly prophetic.
