we're mid 20's, married this summer, just bought a house and fixed it up, so money is tight. i want to get her something special since this is our first real christmas morning together as a married couple in our own home.

we've been together for 5 years. i know my wife, but this is our first "married" christmas.

we're both practicing catholics. we know the christmas story, we have a nativity set, and we will be going to mass on Christmas morning, but we also exchange gifts.
i'm not clueless... (she's my wife, i know her pretty well). i have some ideas for gifts that she'd like, and i'll act on some of them, but i am looking for something special from husband to wife to say "i love you".

I wish I could take credit..but it was the love of my life that gave it to me.
Find (or make) a really spectacular "first Christmas" ornament.
find a time that belongs to the two of you...Christmas eve...or morn...before you get beraged by families...get a bottle of wine..and some baklava and have your private..just the two of you..sneak away because you are the only two that matter in the world time.
make love under the Christmas tree.
draw a picture of something you know she has always wanted....and that you can't afford or that wouldn't be practical and wrap it up.
find that toy that she always wanted as a child....and never got. that dollhouse or tiffany taylor doll....or roller skates..whatever.
make her a romantic cd of holiday songs.
have your portrait together done..or a picture taken in your yard in front of a tree...each year take the same picture and watch your family grow.
do the 12 days of Christmas...each day find something small to send to her AT WORK. (even a dollar store gift is worth a million bucks if its delivered in a romantic way and shown off to other women in her life...friends, coworkers, sisters..etc ..how men don't know this is beyond me!)
enjoy your early years together..cherish her.

Maybe a big red ribbon and bow wrapped around yourself :). Honestly something as simple as a pair of ear rings, necklace, a gift card for a day at a Spa. Considering you just bought a home, it's your first Christmas any thing would be nice.
You might take more notice as to things she likes to do, hobbies, or a hint or two that she might suggest. Good Luck and congratulations.

Get the outside light's up.et the Christmas tree and decorate it together.
Show sympathy about prior Christmas.
Prepare Christmas dinners together
And at last buy each other many presents
And talk about past Christmas
Visit parent of each others homes.
Meet with brother and Sisters.
Go to Church together.

have you asked her what she wants ? if not then you should start there . maybe she feels that buying a home for the two of you was enough of a present . but i would start with asking her . good luck and god bless.
