I can't speak for Christians in general. I believe that any religion goes against the others. But I really don't know. I feel a Buddhist is more at peace with things that us Christians. Personally, I think all religions are different, but they all believe in the same God, just use a different name.

As an atheist, Buddhism seems to be the most sensible religion out there and quite possibly the only one that I am not oppsed to. Have there ever been buddhists who discrimate against homosexuals? Who crash planes into buildings and perform terrorist attacks? Who violently attempt to convert people? Who start wars? Who try to merge their religion with government? Who make a fuss about every single detail that might come close to conflicting with stupid traditions in popular culture? Who fight against racial mixing?

No.

Very few people know more about Buddhism than what they hear from people who took a religion survey class in college. That stuff is all about the easy concepts in Theravada pamphlets

I think Buddhists are nice people and demonstrate many of the spiritual principles that Jesus taught....My position as a Christian is that I would like them to recognize the source of their beautiful principles who is God...and that God has a son named Jesus, who is there for them to also accept. It is God's will for the Buddhists to accept his son in love.

Many, like Thomas Merton, truely love Buddhists as brothers who see the world a little differently. Others, hate them. God though, is love.

I think they have a peaceful and gentle countenance and everyone has a right to worship whom and how they choose. I do not believe personally their selection will lead them to salvation, but they do at least have a do unto others type of creed with their karma way of thinking. I had Buddhist neighbors once who tried to convert me, but I just couldn't buy into it, and that is no offense to anyone. It is a personal choice and everyone is entitled to that.

Real Christians love Buddhists
We reject the anthropology and cosmology but i admire the 5 precepts which are like the 10 Commandments

I think Jesus would approve of many of their teachings to tell you the truth. I think Buddhists can teach everyone a lot frankly. I have no problem with them.
