No , The Strong's concordance states that Jeremiah 31:9 says , " I am a father to Israel" NOT " I am Israel's father" there is a big difference. And look up in the Strong's what Israel and Ephraim mean in those sentences. You may be surprised . Then again you might already know and are just doing atheistic proselytizing. Not very well I might add.
Romans 8:29 is not talking about common people. God is talking about His "chosen / elect". These people were the ones that fought against Satan when Satan and his minions revolted. So these " elect" proved themselves capable and trustworthy. So they were chosen since the foundation of the world, (since the putting down of Satan's uprising) to help bring fourth God's plan for salvation while they were / are / will be here on earth. And they will continue to do so until the full plan has come to past.

Well, seems to me your being disrespectful. So here you go:

You're an idiot. The Exodus 4:22 is all about Israel as a nation. God was saying that Israel is unutterably dear to Him, just like a firstborn son.

Jeremiah is referring to Israel as a nation, and Ephraim being the "first borne" of the tribes.
Nice try.
I don't get your Romans 8:29 reference- Jesus was the first borne from death, the Bible says it. So what's the problem?

:)

Hang on a second before you attack the question will all and all out twistedness. There is then as stated in the bible only one group and so that is impossible. Unless of course your talking about the group that just says, Love Jesus and be good and god bless, you mean them, ya they are the common people as discribed.
