...i feel like i can't move forward until i realize my life's calling...how do i find it?
...i don't want a meaningless life, i wanna do something that makes me want to get up in the morning, and actually look forward to without thinking about killing myself before work, during work, and while i set my alarm before i go to sleep at night... is there some sort of meditation that would help me find what i'm looking for?...hell, i don't even know what i'm looking for.... f*ck, this is really frustrating...

What annoys you the most about the holidays?

Mine....is my girlfriend's family's inablility to be in the same room with each other for longer than 10 minutes without a screaming match breaking out.....

They put the FUN in Dysfunctional!

I did not go to church when I was growing up. My parents didn't go and they didn't take us. Not because they didn't believe but because when my mom was growing up her parents made her go and she had a miserable experience with the other kids at her church. SHe hated going so she quit going when she was old enough to make that decision on her own... because of this I don't know the Bible. I own a bible and I know basics of the basic stories...for example...Noah's ark. I know Noah built the ark because God told him a flood was coming. He brought two of each animal on board. It rain for 40 days and 40 nights. And that's pretty much all I know.
Where can I learn more? I want to know the details of the stories I know. Where can I learn the stories without sitting down with a Bible and just reading front to back? Is there a simplified way to learn the stories? In today's language?

Ya i am confused with the Christian perspective of Original Sin. When in Ezekiel 18:20 and various others the idea is completely rejected. Note (Iniquity means sin)

The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon hime righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.

So according to this in the bible.. Original Sin cant exist. So why then is this preached, as the most fundamental believe in Christianity. From which is derived that God had to come down in human form to die for "our" sins that we didn't even commit... Its very confusing really.
If Adam and Eve didn't consult me before eating the forbidden fruit why should i be held accountable. Same way if my dad kills someone or i kill someone why should me or my dad be held accountable for either one.

I read my own cards about a month ago before my then boyfriend left for another state (to finish school-- will take a year). They basically said if we hang in there, we'll achieve everything we need to and be together and better in the end. Then I did a "should we break up?" spread [3 card spread]... the middle card came out upside down, meaning "no"... but just yesterday, after only 2 1/2 weeks of his being down there, he broke up with me cos he couldn't stand the fighting, jealousy or paranoia (on my part)... wtf happened?? Did I read the cards wrong???

I told him if I respect you, treat you kindly, show you kindness is that not love?

I do not mean love as in lovey dove love or lust, but love as a Christian. So am I being honest when I say I do lovely things out of love from my heart not because I love the person? If I treat every guy with kindness and respect is that general love? Or Christian love?

If a person gets easily embarrassed a lot, does that mean they are prideful? My husband thinks embarrassment is linked to pride because the person who is embarrassed is focusing on what people think of them.
