Nice play on the words, there was no poof. LOL. So basically that was a yes from those of you who said no poof, right?

Some people really do believe that.

All except the poof as far as I've heard from those who believe it. I'm a non-theist but frankly what is the problem if they do?

Well of course people believe god created Adam. You knew this already. What was your point? If people want to believe the tooth faerie made humans out of leftover guacamole from the faerie convention what does it matter?

You and everyone who posts this (many times every day) know that this is not any part of evolutionary biology. Why post something that simply makes you look ridiculous and uneducated?

Do people seriously believe that there was a "poof" and life appeared out of nonliving matter without a cause?
I could more easily believe it if an intelligent entity was behind it.

BTW, there wasn't a "poof". God sculpted Man out of dirt, and then breathed the breath of life into him. The proof is that, when we die, God's breath leaves us, and we turn back into dirt.

There was no "poof." Read Genesis 1 and 2. There's no "poof" I promise.

Who knows? perhaps when God breathed the breath of Life into Adam, maybe it was more of a "poof" rather than mouth to mouth.

It wasn't a poof or even a snap of a finger, nothing GOD creates is that simple. The bible says, "Let us make man in our own image.(Gen 1:26) God formed man from the dirt of the earth and molded him like a piece of clay. GOD saw it wasn't good for man to be alone so he then made Adam fall into a deep sleep, toke one of his ribs and formed Women! I'm sure if we could of been there to watch GOD's marvelous creations in the making we would all fall to our knees in pure silence and awe!

I think they believe there was some moulding involved, like pottery/Dr Frankenstein crossover shenanigans...

So it wasn't so much 'poof' but more of a:

"grubble, squelch, gnnnf, ("nope, not quite"), mmf, squeeg, crunch, (dammit, nearly) whizzle, twizze ("OK that'll do, I'll leave the tailbone for lulz") TADAAA!!!

Adam was shaped by the hands of God, there was no poof.

Not a poof at all. God reached down and formed him from the earth.

Do people honestly believe that their ancestors were apes and chimpanzees? And somehow, miraculously, they still exist but the evolutionary stages in between do not? Where are the missing links? Remember that chart showing the different stages of "homosapiens"? Where did they go? They couldnt outlive the the apes, although the whole theory behind evolution is to survive? Did they just "POOF"?
