The Texas State Constitution says...

"No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office, or public trust, in this State; nor shall any one be excluded from holding office on account of his religious sentiments, provided he acknowledge the existence of a Supreme Being." <<<<<<<<<<

So, the good folks of Texas prefer that their governor has a belief in a Supreme Being.
If you have a problem with that, you could take it up with good folks of Texas...

Of course there is. It's called "public opinion" from lobbyists who are laying down the cash for their campaigns.

I'm more concerned about the Pizza Hut prayer campaign in some of their commercials... very sneaky.
