Trick or Treat. Here's a Trick for you, The Nazis were occultists and satanists that murdered Jews, Muslims Africans, gays, gypsies and other Christians.
Not All Christians Are Murdering Bigots
The Vatican or Roman Catholic Church gave it's blessing for Slavery in the New World murdering American Indians, African Americans. They have never apologized or tried to make restitution for it either calling them brute beasts. The Roman Catholic Church was responsible for persecutions of all you mentioned with the exception of witches in Salem by the Puritans, who were no prize. The KKK claim to be Christian and they are a cult.

I believe that quite a bit of it stems from the stereotypes that our society is fed. For example, I myself am a proud pagan, and as such things like being called a Satanist, being accused of selling my soul to the Devil, and even being punched in the stomach once, have happened to me. However, I've also seen many of those attitudes change when the people confronting me are told the facts of my religious beliefs. I believe the true Christians are the people who can walk side by side with someone of another religion and call them friend, not something to be feared.

Many people persecute people for different things. Same as you are persecuting Christians now. News flash! Not all Christians are like that! You ask a question about persecution but yet you do it yourself. You assume that are Christians are alike. Thats like saying all humans are alike.

In my opinion, anybody who calls themself a christian and persecutes someone else is not truly a Christian but merely hiding behind the label. Doing it "in the name of Christ" is the worst kind of hatred, IMHO.

Probably because after they have killed everyone they didn't like they could go to the priest and he would absolve them of all guilt by saying Hail Mary, I lost my place or some other crap, in my opinion. And it hasn't changed today either.

don't forget pagans!

i'd like to say it's not their fault since they've been brainwashed to think anyone who doesn't believe as they do are satans warriors, but that's wrong, because at some point, you have to start taking responsibility for your own thoughts and actions no matter how you were raised.
