I told him if I respect you, treat you kindly, show you kindness is that not love?
I do not mean love as in lovey dove love or lust, but love as a Christian. So am I being honest when I say I do lovely things out of love from my heart not because I love the person? If I treat every guy with kindness and respect is that general love? Or Christian love?

NOTE: You do not have to be "in love" with a man to do loving things for him is what I mean exactly. Some guys mistake this for true love or falling in love. Get it.

I do the same I act with a tender heart ...towards All Male, Female, Animals and such. I love all . Until they grant otherwise. Even then I would walk a mile in their shoes to understand and have compassion for them.
The kind love that you are speaking of which you call (general love.) Is a rare kinda love . Keep it ,hold onto it and never let it go.
PS. There are a few close friends that I would climb mountains for, only because they have climbed them for me .

in the greek, which is the original language of the new testament, there are either 4 or 5 different kinds of love. there's brotherly love, friendly love, romantic love, unconditional love...
get a good greek lexicon and study up on them, it will help you understand.
