I know im not extremly wealthy but I think it is ridiculous that these "stars" get paid millions of dollars and then they get on tv saying that the education system needs to be fixed or they feel sad for the homeless. It seems like people with little to no money are the most giving. I know for a fact that they have enough money to improve something rather than sit on their cash throwns and talk about world problems.

Does this frustrate you as well?

I just hate when people with money say they try to help. Like environmentalists saying they are trying to conserve energy and save endangered species by driving around in H1's?

It implies that they kill animals and cause pollution!

I am never going to wear a tie again. In fact, today the garbage man got a whole rack of Brooks Brothers stuff. I am going to grow my hair down to my butt, buy a pair of earth shoe sandals, and wear nothing but boxer shorts and my old college t-shirt from here on out. I will bathe, at least once a month, whether I need it or not. After all this time in the business community, I have had it with the politics and the petty backbiting and all that dang MUZAC. After all, I am stardust, I am golden, I am billion year old carbon. Now , I know Surprise , AZ may not be Haight Ashbury, but , dangit, I am going to start an anti-establishment, hippie type thing right here in Suburbia. Would you like to join me?

The Christian faith is full of instructions, don't do this, don't do that, you have to do this, you have to do that. When I used to attend Church, I never left feeling enlightened and good about myself, I always felt that I wasn't good enough and there was more that needed to be worked on, anyone else agree?

im not anti-catholic. i understand the idea of asking mary and the saints to pray for us but it seems that catholics pray as much to mary as to god. the rosary for example is mostly prayers to mary with a few "our fathers". mother theresa said that we should always pray to god through mary and the catholic church refers to mary as "co-mediatrix" with jesus. i would appreciate it if some catholics could shed some light on this for me. thank you.

answer to a logical proposition based on their beliefs--they give some off the wall answer? It's like asking someone what color is your car? and getting the answer-"the visigoths attacked rome in the 3rd century".

Please don't mistake ignorant for dumb or stupid; that is not what I mean. This is sort of directed towards Christians or anyone who has studied the Bible. What are the afterlife options for a person who never hears about Jesus or the Bible in their lifetime? Are they doomed to hell for eternity? Isn't God merciful as it states in the Bible?

I think it's so hypocritical of Christians to proclaim their rejection of hate, yet feel perfectly comfortable telling altruistic, loving, caring, human being (who happen to be Atheist), that they're going to burn on Satan's BBQ forever. THAT IS a message of hate.

If I were Christian, I would begin to wonder whether Satan and God are identical twins.

I mean, it started out as one man, then was passed on to twelve others, and has slowly evolved over the years to now include several major divisions (catholic, protestant) and several thousand, if not hundred thousand sub divisions, such as the 500 and some odd sects of Baptists. It's even grown to the point where its incorporated some traditionally pagan holidays as its own (christmas for example)
Just food for thought...

Alister McGrath is a former, die hard atheist, a professor in London University where Richard Dawkins is also a professor. McGrath has written a book the title is The Dawkins Delusion? In this book McGrath refuted all ideas and argumentations of Dawkins in his book. Michael Ruse, a former atheist says:" The God Delusion makes me embarrased to be an atheist, and McGrath show why"...

Do you know how to cook? If your wife, or mother, or GF has to go away for a few days, could you fend for yourself?

An elderly friend of mine suddenly had to take care of himself. His wife got word that their daughter had to have emergency surgery. Bam! Within half an hour, his wife was out the door, and he was on his own.

She left a load of laundry in the washer, another one in the dryer. No food cooked up. Always before, if she went somewhere, she cooked up dinners for every night and put them in the freezer, so he could put them into the microwave.

So, here he was. No food cooked. No idea of how to care for clothes out of the dryer. No idea of how to dry what was in the washer.

We went over there. He made coffee. Put twice as much coffee in the pot as his wife does, half as much water. Wow!

He better hope that she outlives him, as he'd have no idea of how to take care of himself.

Could you take care of yourself, guys?

The logically
1. God could have had his minions write an allegorical book for the Jewish people living in the middle east at the time. He can do anything--no reason he cant do this.
2. If Satan is the lord of deception--the father of lies. then it is equally as possible that he had men write these various books we call the bible to turn millions away from the one true religion of (fill in the blank). If he for example wanted people turned away from Allah so he'd get their souls--writing bad things about himself in the bible and good things about that god-might get people to believe in it.

So those people who believe in the literal bible. These two points of logic are supported by your beliefs--yet contradict them. How do you explain this.

This wondrous Event took place in the 8th century A.D. in the little Church of St. Legontian, as a divine response to a Basilian monk's doubt about Jesus' Real Presence in the Eucharist.

During Holy Mass, after the two-fold consecration, the host was changed into live Flesh and the wine was changed into live Blood, which coagulated into five globules, irregular and differing in shape and size.

The Host-Flesh, as can be very distinctly observed today, has the same dimensions as the large host used today in the Latin church; it is light brown and appears rose-colored when lighted from the back.

The Blood is coagulated and has an earthy color resembling the yellow of ochre.

Various ecclesiastical investigation ("Recognitions") were conducted since 1574.

In 1970-'71 and taken up again partly in 1981 there took place a scientific investigation by the most illustrious scientist Prof. Odoardo Linoli, eminent Professor in Anatomy and Pathological Histology and in Chemistry

Ok, so people go around saying treat everyone equally, but then they go out and trach all "un-normal" people, such as Gays, Lesbians, And Bi's, so whats the big deal? What Homophones do is they use "God and Jesus" as an exuse saying that God doesnt love People that arent straight. Thats Bullshit. Who says that If you love the same sex, god doesnt love you as much as he would love a straight person. I think its completely dumb how people think tha just because your not straight, your disgusting, and "sick in your mind" You cannot control who you love, if your a boy and you love a boy, good for you, if your a girl and you love a girl, good for you, at least you guys know how to be proud of your sexuality. There are some people out there who are afaid to show the real person inside them because they are ashamed...I think thats dumb! You shoud be ashamed of loveing the same sex. Love is a natural and beautiful thing and shouldnt be tormented by those who are homophobic!
Topic-Homophobes.
