I totally understand what you're saying - I asked the same question. But remember also, that there may be one person out there that isn't completely sure. That in their heart hasn't completely rejected God and THAT'S why they're really here. To see if they can find something...anything that will bring the realization of God's existence to them. To quote a song, "If we are the body, why aren't His arms reaching? Why aren't His hands healing? Why aren't His words teaching?" We are the body of Christ. We need to reach out to each other as Christians for support and growth, but we need to especially reach out to those in need of salvation.

I know it gets frustrating sometimes...but keep on going. Your skin will get thicker - and your heart will get softer. Mine did.

Atheists are trying to save us from ourselves -perhaps because they cannot save themselves.
Actually, it is told in the Bible that there will come a time of spiritual conflict. More people will be drawn to God and they will face heavy opposition.
Atheists represent a very small percent of earths population but are more verbal. They can never win over a true Christian, but they can make those on the fence, think, and that's a good thing. Still, the outcome will be the same as it would had they never spoke. So, they are doing no harm to anyone but themselves.
God bless them, each one.

They are here for God to talk to them. They are searching for something but do not know how to find it so they come waiting for someone to give the answers that they are looking for. They're hostile because of the possibility that God does exist and they are not actually in control. They are looking for some type of proof. Where better a place to show himself than in the R&S where someone may answer a non believer's question and open their eyes and hearts to the truth about the One living and true God that exsists and loves no matter what we have done and say.

It's probably because every other question in this group seems to be for or about atheists. The better question would be why all the atheist questions in the Religion section?

I'm right where I belong, in the religion & spirituality section discussing religion & spirituality. This isn't the Christian section....or the Jewish section...or the Muslim section. It is the religion & spirituality section where ANYONE can come and discuss it. It says nowhere that we have to agree with it. We have come to disagree with it. Find another board if you want to respond to people of your views only.

It's important to maintain the atheist view in social discourse, so that Christians don't go thinking that it's okay to go legislating their beliefs to the rest of us. How will they know anyone disagrees with them if no one bothers to let them know?

Anyway some of us are spiritual atheists, like myself, a Taoist.

Lastly, the reverse of your statement is in fact true. If you don't want to hear opposing viewpoints, go to the Happy Christian Fun club website, not a public forum. YOU're the one in the wrong place. Cope.

No. You're in the wrong place. Go to some Christian chatboard to whine. This is an open question and answer forum for matters pertaining to religion. You have violated the guidelines by answering your own question in your rant. If you are here to rant, you cannot comply with the Community Guidelines, and it is you who is not welcome here.
