Probably neither. Some people believe in life after death and others don't. I think your question is quite profound. However, the bible says that those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God will have eternal life which tells us that there is a heaven. But the bible also says that Satan exists too, and that he rules hell.

I deserved hell for my sins and because was an enemy of God. But my Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ bore my sins to the cross on His own shoulders to die the death that was required of me. He did this even while I was an enemy to Him because He loves me.

Now that the debt for my sins is paid in full, I can be purified, sanctified and saved. This offer is a free gift of God: I cannot buy it, earn it, or replace it with any other method because there is no other way but Jesus.

Because I acknowledge my sins, repent from them and then, by faith, accept the gift of salvation that Jesus graciously paid for with His blood and offers because of His great love, I am born again (the old me dies) and am heaven bound!

Hallelujah to the Lamb of God! I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father!
