If so, why did God create it (or the potential for it) in the first place?

So men could have freedom of choice? So His creation could have free-will?

Does that mean that when God finally destroys evil that His creation will no longer have free will?

and if not, why did God create the potential for evil in the first place, when He obviously had the ability to create an initial paradise?

Will sin be possible in Heaven?

I am in this youth caregroup with my church and they said that if someone can think of a good bible verse that has to do with teens obeying God then we can get a 100 dollar gift certificate to anywhere we want! AND i wanted to get it for this orphanage down in MExico because their electric bill went out and they don't have enough money to fix it.

A girl recently emailed me saying she wanted to go to a Catholic Mass, and what should she expect?

I gave her one simple Bible verse, Acts 2:42
"..they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer."

That is a Catholic Mass. For 2000 years it has been the same. Some prayers are said, then we hear four diffferent scripture readings (a psalm, an OT reading, an epistle reading, and a gospel reading), we wish each other peace, and the the breaking of the bread (communion). That's it. Amazing, eh? Oh, sure, there's a few extra bells & whistles after 2000 years - some incense hear, a few candles there - but that is the mass: Acts 2:42.

If you have never been to one, I say - go and see. I think these kinds of things break down the barriers of suspicion. I have been to protestant services before, and even a synagogue, and am richer for them.

Has any non catholic ever been to Mass? Did you like it? Any other comments

HI,im 18 and im a big metal listner my self i like bands like (dream theatre, symphony x,kamelot, stratovarius) and everyone styreotypes me as this crazy sick person who cuts himself every night.
the thing is of course im not.the reason i listen to metal is that instead of making my body dance it makes my soul dance (my view).i sometimes imagine that my soul is smoke and watch it dance infront of me.that is the reason.and i hope everyone knows that.
i do get "crazy" in concerts from time to time.but thats only coz im so exited to be seeing my idols right infront of me.
btw metal is not the only genre i listen 2 i listen to classical music as well and i learnt the piano 4 that reason.
the reason im asking is that i want to know if there are some people who actually think im metal listners are "normal".
thanx 4 ur time and i hope im dissapointed to think that all people think that way of metal fans.

I can't be married in the temple because I had sex with various girlfriends before my marriage. But will I be thought of as a lesser person just because I had to get married in a meeting house?

and since we are not "citizens" of this world, do we have the right to finger point and condemn the actions of NON-Christians? I am not advocating stopping the preaching of the Gospel, but stopping the nagging, hateful tones that we use when talking about sinners. I compare us to an American in Korea condemning the people there about eating dog. Americans do not have the right to harass them in their own country about the way they live.

We are to be the salt and light to the earth, but are we doing a good job at that? Is it profittable to protest gay marches and picket outside abortion clinics and yel hateful and derogatory remarks at passers-by?

If you agree that we are not doing a good job, then how could we do a better job? If you disagree and think that we should act this way, please show me Scripture that backs up this behavior.

Any program that does anything postive shouldn't be shot down, stop being so high and mighty. Have a more open mind about things, it like your a horse with blinders on. Why are a lot of people in these types of organizations so fanatical, or obssessed, its not about you its about them, stop being so full of yourself.

Finding something not pleasant to modern sensibilities in the Old Testament isn't too hard. In fact i'm quite sure people have their favorite Fire and Brimstone sections to cite for good or ill.

So what about the New Testament?

Wrath is defined as:
1 : strong vengeful anger or indignation
2 : retributory punishment for an offense or a crime : divine chastisement
So the argument that we send our selves to hell is not true because clearly God is punishing us for the offense of commiting 'sin'.
A more sutible definition of the 'wrath of god' is divine chastisement.
Chastisement is defined as:
1: to inflict punishment on (as by whipping)
2: to censure severely
So clearly we do not send ourselves to hell and the god in the bible does it to punish us for eternity which clearly contradicts that that god is all loving and caring because a being who has wrath and inflicts punishment is not so.

Have you ever considered the possibility that we are not as a whole dealing with the reality of the physical and spiritual universe. Have ever considered the possibility that we are in fact each so convinced of our own delusions that it prevents us from seeing the true reality of life untainted? Have you ever considered what it would take from you personally to give up your firm grip of delusions and your belief structure in them. What would the universe, earth, humanity, and you look like view by the only truth that exists and matters? NOT WHER YOU ARE COMFORTABLE but, where the truth reins supreme.

Just sick of the same old tired self centered questions posted here. Please take as much time as you would like. Life is not about the point system on Yahoo. I hope to find a single genuine answer.

Read the catholic doctrine then the bible you will see some things are in direct defiance of the word.

ie.

Catholic Doctrine state (CDS) Salvation only comes through the Catholic Church Ref catechism # 816, #846
Bible Says:
Whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13

If baptism, seven sacrements, and goodworks were required for heaven, why did Jesus tell the thief on the cross he is saved? Did someone make a mistake

(CDS) the catholic church (& only it) has the power to forgive sins. Ref Catechism # 256, 982, 986,979, 1448, 1461
What does the bible say?
There is only one who can forgive sin, "Why does this man speak of blasphemies? Only God can forgive sin, Mark 2:7
Also se, 2 chron 7:14 - Matt 9:6- 1John 1:9

CDS- baptism is required for salvation and only comes from catholic church, Ref catechism # 950, 1088,1257, 1212, 1213, 1263, 1265
What does bible say?
For Christ sent me not to baptize but to preach the gospel, 1 cor 1:17

would i have been in my rights to call the cops on him for the following-

Harassment:

Religious harassment
Verbal, psychological or physical harassment's used against targets because they choose to practice a specific religion. ****Religious harassment can also include forced and involuntary conversions.****

Noise Pollution
The listeners attribute to the sound influences annoyance, so that, if listeners dislike the noise content, they are annoyed. What is music to one is noise to another
If the sound causes activity interference, noise is more likely to annoy
If listeners feel they can control the noise source, the noise is less likely to be annoying
If listeners believe that the noise is subject to third-party control, including police, but control has failed, they are more annoyed.
Contextual sound. If the sound is appropriate for the activity it is in context. If one is at an outdoor picnic the race track noise will produce adverse psychological and physical effects
